RB Leipzig fell to a third consecutive defeat away from home last weekend when they lost 1-0 at fourth placed Borussia Dortmund, but the hosts have a great opportunity to make amends for this recent slip-up when they entertain Bundesliga strugglers Hamburg at their Red Bull Arena.
Leipzig held the lead at the top of the German top flight for the majority of the first half of the domestic season, but normal service seems to have been resumed with Bayern Munich now possessing a four-point lead over second placed Leipzig.

However, it must be pointed out that both of these recent victories were recorded at their Volksparkstadion where they’ve won three of their four league matches overall this season, but an away record of 1-2-7 7/18 shows they’re more comfortable in their home surroundings.
Indeed, Hamburg have lost their last three away matches on the trot with losses incurred at Mainz, Wolfsburg and Ingolstadt – the latter being a defeat to the second from bottom club in the Bundesliga.
