Rochdale the better equipped to take the points against poor Port Vale

League One/Two Tips

ROCHDALE v PORT VALE

Tuesday 28th February 2017 – Kickoff: 1945hrs

Football – England – League One Betting Tips

Despite a seven-match sequence without a win in League One, Tuesday night’s hosts Rochdale will be in fairly confident mood that they can turn things around here at their Crown Oil Arena when they play host to relegation candidates Port Vale.

Recent defeats to Southend United, Oxford United, Bolton Wanderers and Peterborough United have seen Keith Hill’s men drop down to 10th in League One, but a win this evening could see them move within striking distance of the play-off pack.

In addition, Rochdale still hold a very good home record which stands at  10-3-3  31/16 and they’ve lost just once in their last 14 on home turf. Dale have also kept a total of eight clean sheets to date too.

Visitors Port Vale have also been in disappointing form in recent times as they’ve now gone eight matches without a win and they find themselves in the bottom four of League One as a result; defeats to Scunthorpe United, Peterborough United, Millwall and Bradford City have left Vale in the relegation zone.

The story doesn’t get any brighter away from home either as they’ve gone nine matches without a win on the road amidst an overall poor record of  1-5-9  9/28 and failing to score on eight occasions from their 15 away matches in total.

And it’s this poor run of form on their travels which may well rear its ugly head again for Port Vale as they make their way up north to take on Rochdale who still possess a fair record on home turf.
