ROMA v TORINO – Pick: 1 AH-1 – 09 November 2014

Roma to cover the line against Torino

International Football Tips

Football – Italy – Serie A

Sunday 9th November 2014 – Kickoff: 2045hrs

Roma will be searching for a sixth consecutive home win when they host Torino on Sunday evening in order to maintain their impressive 100% home record at the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma have won five on the trot on home turf to start their Serie A season in positive fashion, however, they’ll be keen to also bounce back from last weekend’s defeat away at fifth placed Napoli as an added incentive this afternoon.

After an encouraging start on the road, Roma have slipped up in recent weeks on their travels as they’ve now gone three matches without a win and indeed have suffered two defeats away at Juventus and Napoli and their away form must improve if they are to be genuine title contenders this season.

But on home turf their record remains unblemished with stats of  5-0-0  11/0 and the five clean sheets is a great achievement thus far. Possible anytime goalscorers include Destro, Gervinho and Totti.

Visitors Torino registered a recent win over Parma at home which was followed with a point against Atalanta in a 0-0 draw, again at home, but they now face a tough trip away ago third placed Roma on Sunday evening.

Torino have struggled recently on the road as they’ve lost three of their last four with defeats at Sampdoria, Napoli and Lazio but they did manage all three points in a 2-1 win at 15th placed Cagliari.

Overall though, their away record is a poor  1-0-3  4/7 and they’ve kept just one clean sheet from their last thirteen away matches which may give Roma the upper hand tonight.

Roma will be keen to bounce back with all three points tonight and with an impressive home record behind them going into tonight’s clash, I’ll back them to also cover the -1 handicap too in what could perhaps be a 2-0 home win.
