Although Sassuolo have only played one Italian Serie A game so far this season, they’ve played a few competitive games already in their new campaign as they’ve been involved in the qualifying phase of the Europa League, also with success.
Previous wins over Luzern 4-1 on aggregate and a play-off win over Crvena Zvezda have seen the Italians progress through to the group stages of the european competition, and having won their first Serie A match of the season last weekend, this evening’s hosts will be looking to extend their unbeaten run against Pescara.

Visitors Pescara have re-appeared in the Italian top flight following a three-year absence after they secured promotion from Serie B via the play-offs, and they’ll be wanting to improve upon their last campaign in Serie A this time around.
Previously, Pescara had suffered five league defeats on the trot at the end of their last top flight campaign, so when they held Napoli to a 2-2 draw at their Stadio Adriatico-Giovanni ground in this season’s opener, they will have gained a lot of confidence from this result.
However, they come up against a solid Sassuolo outfit who have played a few competitive matches already and are match-sharp, so I fancy the hosts to record all three points in this encounter.
