Iraq held Australia to a 1-1 draw at their Al-Shaab Stadium in Baghdad last week which was considered a good result, but their away form and results have let them down during this World Cup qualifying campaign as they’ve fallen to three straight defeats so far.
Iraq possess a poor away record of 0-0-3 1/6 having suffered defeats at Australia, Japan and UAE, and indeed they’ve recorded just one away win from their last 10 World Cup qualifiers which was at Chinese Taipei back in November 2015.
