Sixth placed Sheffield Wednesday will be going all out for the three points on Tuesday night as they look to keep hold of their play-off spot going into tonight’s clash with Championship strugglers MK Dons.
Wednesday have lost just once in their last seven matches overall, which was a heavy 4-1 defeat away at Bristol City but their form at Hillsborough has been pretty solid all season where they have posted a record to date of 12-7-2 39/17 having lost just once in the last 18 matches on home turf.
Former Watford striker Forestieri (15 goals) has been the major difference this season, and along with Joao and Hooper up front, The Owls look well set for the maximum haul this evening which could move them to within just one point of Derby County.
Visitors MK Dons have not enjoyed the best of campaigns in their inaugural season in the Championship and they sit third from bottom in the English second tier and 9 points adrift of Rotherham United.
Their situation is made worse by their poor away record which stands at 2-8-11 16/29 and along with not having registered a win from their last seven overall, The Dons have also registered just the one away win from their last 20 matches on the road!
Things certainly look bleak then for Karl Robinson’s men as they make their way up to Sheffield this evening where I can see only one winner.
