Stirling Albion last posted a Scottish League Two win just prior to Christmas when they beat Annan Athletic 1-0 at their Forthbank Stadium and they could jump into a safer mid-table position after tonight if they take all three points against a Montrose side who have struggled away from home all season.
Stirling Albion possess a fairly reasonable 4-2-4 11/11 record on home turf having lost just once in their last six which was a 3-1 loss to East Fife who currently lie in second place in the second division. Recent wins over Arbroath, Elgin City and Annan Athletic should give the hosts some confidence though.
Visitors Montrose head into tonight’s encounter on the back of a four-match unbeaten run which includes wins over East Stirlingshire and Clyde along with taking points off Queens Park and East Fife.
However, away from home, Montrose have been struggling all season as they’ve managed just the one win on the road in the second division which was a 1-0 win at Queens Park, but since then, they’ve capitulated to four defeats from their last six away matches.
Montrose’s away record stands at a poor 1-2-7 9/19 and they’ve kept just one clean sheet on their travels so far this term.
