STOKE v QPR – Pick: 1 – 31 January 2015

Potters to resign R's to another away defeat

Premier League Tips

Football – England – Premier League

Saturday 31st January 2015 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Mid-table Stoke City have enjoyed another successful season in the top flight as they’re looking safe for another term in the Premier League, currently sitting in 10th place.

Stoke have lost just once in their last five matches overall which was an understandable 3-0 defeat away to Arsenal, but aside from that loss, Stoke have revived their fortunes with recent wins over Everton, West Brom and Leicester City, along with taking a point off Manchester United at their Britannia Stadium.

The Potters’ overall home record stands at  4-2-4  12/12 and although manager Mark Hughes would have liked a few less defeats, Stoke still manage to turn a few surprises on home turf as they’ve already registered wins over Newcastle United and Arsenal.

Bojan, Walters and Crouch are among the possible candidates for anytime goalscorer for the hosts this afternoon.

QPR make the trip up to Stoke looking to avoid a third successive defeat in the Premier League following back-to-back losses against Burnley and Manchester United. Indeed, QPR have now gone five matches without a win with their last taste of success coming in a 3-2 home win over West Brom just before Christmas.

If their away form stays true to form this afternoon, The R’s look destined for yet another defeat away from home as they possess an appalling record of  0-0-10  5/24 in addition to no clean sheets and failing to score themselves on five occasions to date.

Even though Stoke have been a bit up and down on home turf this season, they should take all three points against a QPR outfit who have lost all confidence when playing away from their Loftus Road ground. Could be 1-0 to the hosts here.
