Strommen will be looking to build upon their crushing 6-0 defeat over Honefoss in their last home match when they entertain Alta this evening, and a further three points tonight would see them leapfrog Baerum and tonight’s opponents into a mid-table position.
Strommen currently sit in 11th spot just one place and one point behind the visitors, but recent home wins over Ullensaker/Kisa 5-3 and Honefoss 6-0 along with a draw against fourth placed Kristiansund gives me enough reason to believe they can take the points here as well.
Their overall home record stands at 3-2-2 18/13, and they are the joint highest goalscorers at home in the Adeccoligaen with third placed Ranheim which gives you an indication of their attacking potential.
In addition, Strommen have a few anytime goalscorer candidates in the shape of midfielder Schulz (4 goals) along with forwards Achrifi and Ogwuocha (5 goals apiece).
Visitors Alta are just one place and one point above their hosts but this is largely down to a solid home record where they’ve lost just once so far this term. However, on the road, Alta have chalked up just one win from seven matches which was a 3-0 win at Baerum but their overall away record stands at 1-2-4 4/10.
You’ll perhaps notice a distinct lack of goals on their travels and only bottom club Ham-Kam (2 goals) have scored fewer goals than Alta away from home in the division. In fact, Alta have drawn a blank on five occasions out of seven so far and this may be a key indicator in tonight’s encounter with high-scoring Strommen.
In short, Strommen seem to possess more weapons up front and given the visitors low goalscoring record on the road I’ll go for the straight win here for the hosts – could perhaps be a 1-0 win for Strommen.
