Sutton United will be looking forward to returning to their Borough Sports Ground on Tuesday night following back-to-back defeats away from home recently at Gateshead and Wrexham respectively, but they have a chance to wipe the slate clean this evening.

Onto Braintree Town, and their miserable start to the new campaign continued on Saturday when they were soundly beaten 4-1 at their Amlin Stadium by seventh placed Gateshead which now makes it four league matches without success for Jamie Day’s men.
Of these recent four matches, Braintree have suffered defeats in three of these with losses incurred against Barrow, Torquay United and Gateshead along with gaining just a point away from home in a 0-0 draw with rock-bottom club Guiseley.
Away from home, Braintree hold an ordinary record of 0-2-2 2/4 with a previous defeat at Maidstone United to go with the loss at Barrow, and they’ve also failed to score in two of their four away matches to date.
