Friday night brings us one of the games of the season in the Australian domestic A-League with Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory resuming their long-standing rivalry at the Allianz Stadium in a top-of-the-table clash.

Onto Melbourne Victory and they have emerged as the clear second placed team to progress to the Finals series as they possess an 11-pojnt cushion over third placed Perth Glory which has been assisted by winning three of their last four with wins gained over Melbourne City, Central Coast Mariners and Adelaide United.
Victory’s away record isn’t too bad either as they hold a record of 5-2-3 15/10 on the road which includes two wins at Adelaide United along with victories at Western Sydney, Melbourne City and Central Coast Mariners.
In addition they also possess the league’s leading goalscorer in the shape of Besart Berisha (17 goals) who has been assisted by New Zealand striker Rojas (11 goals).
This promises to be a fiery affair, and if you can get a price on bookings then go ‘over’, but I’ll settle for both teams to score in this one.
