Rubin Kazan V Inter Milan

Kick-off: Tuesday 29th September – 17:30 GMT

Competition: UEFA Champions League

Group: F

Inter have a gruelling trip to Russia to contend with here as the Russian champions and current league leaders await the Italian champions. Jose Mourinho’s men are the favourites to secure all three points on Russian soil but Rubin Kazan are no mugs and they will be a tough proposition for Milan.

The Russian league is now 23 games old and Kazan have already stormed into the lead, taken four points out of the rest of the chasing pack. With just seven games to go, though, what will be their priority? Will they concentrate on winning back-to-back league titles or will they attempt to do battle on all fronts. Well, it’s rare that Kazan get to play in such a fixture and we expect them to field the strongest possible side, one that is more than capable of giving Inter a fair few scares tomorrow night.

Kazan are far from unbeatable at home but they do boast a very impressive home record of 7-1-4, scoring 25 and conceding just 9. They have two strikers bang in form in Dominguez & Bukharov, the former has 14 goals this season while the latter has 13. They are no longer the surprise package back home and they look set to secure the league title for the second year running.

Inter Milan have made an ideal start to their season and they have generally done very well in Europe against Russian opponents, but they could come a cropper here. Inter have won three out of four on Russian soil so they will be very optimistic of their chances on Tuesday.

Milan should comply on Russian soil, once again, but Kazan will be somewhat of an unknown quantity for Milan and manager; Jose Mourinho. The Russian’s look a pretty decent price to score on the night at 8/15, not stunning odds, but we’re pretty confident that they can breach an Inter goal that has kept just one clean sheet in six league fixtures.

Matt’s Tip: BOTH teams to SCORE – 9/10 Expekt

Inter Milan, with the array of talent they have at their disposal, should score in Kazan, however, we also fancy the home side to at least find the Inter goal and the odds on both teams scoring tomorrow night looks a fair bet.
