VALENCIA v RAYO VALLECANO – Pick: 1 AH-0.75 – 13 December 2014

Valencia to bounce back against Vallecano

International Football Tips

Football – Spain – La Liga

Saturday 13th December 2014 – Kickoff: 1700hrs

Valencia will be keen to break a four-match run without a win when they take on mid-table Rayo Vallecano at their Estadio de Mestalla ground following two draws and two defeats recently.

Draws against Atletico Bilbao and Granada were okay but they came up against Barcelona at home which ended in a 1-0 loss along with an away defeat at Levante 2-1. Valencia’s last win came at sixth placed Villarreal in a 3-1 victory back in early November which was a good result, while at home they’ve lost just once all season.

A record of  5-1-1  15/4 is pretty solid as Valencia sit in fifth place despite their dip in form, and despite the recent defeat to Barcelona, they’ll be confident of bouncing back at home today particularly with Alcacer, Parejo and forward Negredo who notched against Granada.

Rayo Vallecano have been the epitome of inconsistency so far this season in La Liga with wins and defeats almost in equal measure, but in actual fact they’ve won just three matches in their last eight overall.

On their travels, Rayo Vallecano possess a record of  3-1-3  9/15 with wins at Levante, Granada and Almeria who incidentally, are all positioned in the bottom half of La Liga. However, they’ve struggled against the better teams in the division as they’ve suffered defeats at Villarreal, Malaga and Real Madrid, scoring just 3 goals for but conceding a total of 13 in reply.

Valencia have been in impressive form on home turf and I advise giving the three-quarter ball on the hosts here who should register perhaps a 2-0 win.
