Vitoria will be looking to build upon their 1-1 draw at home against Ponte Preta on Wednesday night when they take on fellow strugglers Sport Recife at their Estádio Manoel Barradas ground with a valuable three points up for grabs for both sides.

Visitors Sport Recife registered a thumping 5-1 victory at home against mid-table Chapecoense on Sunday evening which lifted them out of the bottom four of Serie A but they face a tricky encounter away from home on Wednesday night against Vitoria.
Although Sport head into tonight’s clash on the back of three matches without defeat, the two wins that they’ve registered during this mini revival were both at home against Fluminense and Chapecoense.
However, away from home has been a very different story as they’ve posted stats of 1-1-4 3/7 with their one success on their travels being a 1-0 win at third from bottom club Santa Cruz. Defeats at Flamengo, Internacional, Coritiba and Santos suggest they could well struggle this evening too.
