WOKING v KIDDERMINSTER – Pick: 1 AH0 – 27 September 2014

Cards to bounce back against Kiddy

National League Tips

Football – England – Conference Premier

Saturday 27th September 2014 – Kickoff: 1500hrs

Something’s gotta give in my next pick with both Woking and today’s visitors Kidderminster having suffered back-to-back defeats going into today’s clash at the Kingfield Stadium.

After a terrific start to the new season which saw Woking unbeaten in their first nine matches (winning six of them), they’ve recently suffered defeats away at Torquay United and Bristol Rovers who were both relegated from League Two at the end of last season, and are expected to hold strong home records in the Conference this term – which is exactly what has happened so far.

With both of those defeats coming on the road, Woking now have a chance to bounce back on their home ground this afternoon where they too hold a solid home record of  3-2-0  11/3 which includes wins over Dover Athletic, Lincoln City and Chester.

Visitors Kidderminster possess a trend that many of the teams hold in the Conference and that is a good home record but very susceptible on the road. Kiddy are no different as their home record reads  4-1-1  12/4, while their road stats are  1-2-2  1/3 with recent back-to-back defeats away at Southport 0-1 and Braintree Town 0-2.

They’ve picked up points in draws at Lincoln City and Macclesfield Town (both 0-0 stalemates) while their one success so far came away at second from bottom club Dover Athletic in a narrow 1-0 win.

In fact, Kidderminster have registered just two away wins from their last 20 away matches which surely hands the initiative to today’s hosts Woking who are looking to bounce back with a home win here today.

Woking then, are my pick for today, but as they’ve lost their last two on the trot, I’ll go for the round ball on them today just to cover the possibility of the draw – Woking might edge this perhaps 2-1.
