Wolves ended a run of three matches without a win in the Championship on Tuesday night when they registered a useful 3-0 win away at Fulham in the nation’s capital to hand Wolves manager Kenny Jackett a much-needed three points.
Wolves had previously lost at Bolton and held to back-to-back stalemates with Brighton and Preston North End respectively, but they have a great chance of chalking up a second win on the trot when they play host to bottom half club Huddersfield Town at Molineux in today’s early kick-off.
Wolves’ home record stands at 1-2-1 5/5 with their one win so far coming against Charlton Athletic. Striker Adam Le Fondre could be a potential anytime goalscorer for the hosts today.
Visitors Huddersfield Town head into today’s encounter following a three-match unbeaten run which includes recent wins over Charlton Athletic and Bolton Wanderers along with last weekend’s point at home with Nottingham Forest.
However, it’ll be interesting to see how The Terriers get on away from home this afternoon as they’ve traditionally struggled on their travels at this level and have chalked up just two away wins from their last twelve on the road.
Huddersfield’s away record so far stands at 1-1-2 3/6 and they’ve kept just three clean sheets from their last 13 away matches which may well be a factor in deciding today’s clash with Wolves who are expected to go on the attack from the off.
Wolves should win here today, and so I’ll back the hosts with a good price of just over evens to claim all three points in perhaps a narrow 1-0 win.
