WOLVES v MK DONS

Football – England – Championship Betting Tips

Wolves always seem to promise so much and then actually fail to deliver each and every season, and manager Kenny Jackett must be feeling the increasing pressure at the west midlands club as they now sit in a very disappointing 14th place in the Championship.

Just one win from their last seven overall, which, incidentally, was at their midlands rivals Birmingham City, has been a poor return for Wolves who were widely expected to be challenging for at least a play-off spot this season. Recent points gained against Burnley and Ipswich Town though may have increased their confidence going into today’s clash with MK Dons.

Wolves’ overall home record stands at a so-so  2-3-3  9/10 as their last win on home turf came against Huddersfield Town in a 3-0 win back in early October. However, forwards Afobe and journeyman Le Fondre are very capable of getting on the scoresheet for the hosts.

Visitors MK Dons have also endured a torrid time in the Championship so far this season as they sit in the bottom three of the English second tier having gained just one win from their last six matches overall which includes defeats against Huddersfield Town, QPR, Hull City and Brighton – the one win was a 1-0 victory over fellow strugglers Charlton Athletic at their stadium:mk.

Away from home, MK Dons have continued to struggle as their overall record of  1-2-5  7/13 reflects, and they’ve lost four of their last six on their travels including three straight defeats heading into today’s clash in the midlands.

In addition, MK Dons have kept just one clean sheet on their travels all season which was away at Reading back in the end of August, so they may well be up against this afternoon as Wolves look to bounce back from some ordinary results.
