Arsenal v Tottenham Betting Preview
The North London derby is the definite highlight of the third round of this season’s FA Cup. With both looking to secure at least top four finishes in the Premier League this season, this tournament distraction should be another battleground where bragging rights lead to a full on assault for supremacy.

Arsenal v Tottenham Betting Tips:
Even with their league ambitions, you would expect two fairly strong line ups to go head to head in this one. The Gunners, the Premier League leaders, kick off as favourites with home advantage and in the last five meetings between the two clubs in all competitions, it has been the home side who has come away with a win. At home in the FA Cup, Arsenal have been very strong, with just one defeat in their last 34 FA Cup fixtures on home turf. That loss came in round five of last season’s tournament when they were upset by Blackburn. Arsene Wenger’s men are in a decent current form as well, having won their last three on the bounce in the Premier League.

Theo Walcott has hit a bit of goalscoring form and is running at 6/4 in the Anytime Goalscorer market, while Olivier Giroud is in at 5/4. The last three matches between Arsenal and Spurs at the Emirates have all gone the way of the Gunners. This will be the first time since the 2000/01 season that the two have met in the FA Cup, when the Gunners won 2-1 in the semi final. Spurs will have been buoyed by their great 2-1 win at Old Trafford in the Premier League on New Year’s Day, a great result for new boss Tim Sherwood. He wants Spurs to attack and that should make this a great game against their old rivals. Tottenham have won just one of their last 24 visits to Arsenal though, that win coming in the 2010/11 Premier League.

Could be worth a look at Jermain Defoe in the Anytime Goalscorer market as he has scored five and assisted another three in his last eight FA Cup appearances. Defoe is trading at 11/4 in the Anytime Goalscorer market. Spurs are unbeaten in their last four in the Premier League so are in good form, and with Arsenal looking a little leggy through December, the Lilywhites will fancy their chances. Two contrasting stats with Tottenham as they have won 13 of their last 16 away matches in all competitions, but they have won just two of their last nine away games in the FA Cup. Shows that this could go either way, and there should be goals in this one and therefore value in the Both Teams To Score. Arsenal have held supremacy over Spurs for sometime and will be tipped just to edge things.

Prediction
Would expect some goals to be coming in this one and there is great value in both sides in the outright winner market. It could be worth a look Over 2.5 Goals for a price of 4/6 with Paddy Power.
