Bristol City v Sheffield Utd
City, unbeaten at home this season take on Sheffield Utd and are boosted by the return of left-back Jamie McAllister(2assts).
Robins striker David Clarkson(1gl,1asst) & Lee Johnson may stake starting places, but defender Bradley Orr is definitely ruled out.
The Blades are boosted by the arrival of two loanees Carl Ikeme (keeper from Wolves) and Toni Kallio (defender from Fulham) and they are expected to go straight into the side. Striker Darius Henderson(7gls) returns from suspension.
Henri Camara(1gl) is sidelined though with a hamstring injury, along with Derek Geary & Gary Naysmith, while Lee Williamson & Ched Evans(3gls,4assts) both face late fitness tests.
Crystal Palace v Watford
Palace defender Paddy McCarthy(1asst) will again be sidelined and will miss the visit of Watford.
Winger Sean Scannell is also doubtful with a hamstring and left back Lee Hills commences a three match suspension.
Striker Calvin Andrew continues his rehab on the bench.
Watford will travel without Ross Jenkins(1asst) and Jay De Merit who are both weeks away, but manager Malky Mackay would probably have stuck with the side that beat Scunthorpe 3-0 anyway.
Derby County v Reading
Derby could welcome back midfielder Stephen Pearson(1asst) when they host struggling Reading.
On-loan striker DJ Campbell could be handed a start after joining on loan from Leicester.
Kris Commons(1gl) & Steve Davies(1asst) are both sidelined through injury though.
Reading could have striker Shane Long and left back Chris Armstrong back for the visit to Derby.
Noel Hunt(2gls) remains out, but Grzegorz Rasiak(4gls) is pushing for a start after scoring the winning goal last week.
Newcastle Utd v Swansea City
Toon striker Andy Carroll(4gls,3assts) is doubtful after falling sick.
Manager Chris Hughton is hoping that Ryan Taylor(2gls,3assts) and Danny Simpson(1gl) are both fit for the visit of Swansea City.
On-loan Zurab Khizanishvili is available for first team action, but Shola Ameobi(4gls) may have to settle for a bench place.
Eleven games unbeaten Swansea, have skipper Garry Monk doubtful again, while striker Stephen Dobbie and Mark Gower(1gl,3assts) are expected to miss out.
Nottingham Forest v Doncaster Rovers
Nottm Forest have secured the services of on-loan defender Nicky Shorey from Aston Villa.
He’ll replace left-back Chris Cohen(3assts) who is suspended.
Striker Dexter Blackstock(5gls,2assts) may get a recall to the side.
Doncaster look set for the return of skipper Martin Woods(3gls,4assts),Adam Lockwood(2gls) and Byron Webster for the trip to the City Ground.
Forest & Doncaster fans will be sitting together in a revolutionary new trial scheme to encourage families back to football.
Peterborough v Middlesbrough
Peterborough could include new signing defender Exodus Geoghan for the visit of Middlesbrough.
Otherwise new manager Mark Cooper has no new injury concerns as his side bids to halt their losing streak.
Boro boss Gordon Strachan is waiting on the fitness of midfielder Gary O`Neil(2gls,3assts) ahead of the trip to London Road, but utility-man Rhys Williams(1asst) is out through suspension.
He joins Jeremie Aliadiere(3gls),Seb Hines,Caleb Folan,Andrew Taylor & Matthew Bates on the sidelines.
Plymouth Argyle v Barnsley
Plymouth have been hit with the suspension of striker Jamie Mackie(4gls) ahead of their clash with Barnsley.
Kiwi striker Rory Fallon(3gls,2assts) could replace Mackie up front, while right-back David Gray is out injured and midfielder James Paterson is rated doubtful.
Barnsley midfielder Anderson de Silva(2gls,1asst) misses out through suspension, while defender Darren Moore is expected to be fit.
Tykes striker Ian Hume(2gls,2assts) and midfielder Hugo Colace(2assts) should both be fit to return.
QPR v Coventry City
QPR could go third with a home win over Coventry on Saturday, and have been boosted by the expected return of experienced centre-back Fitz Hall.
Gavin Mahon(1gl,1asst) & Martin Rowlands are both continuing rehab, but Rowan Vine(1gl,1asst) and Angelo Balanta are closing in on returns.
Coventry are again without defenders Ben Turner and Marcus Hall(1asst) along with Sammy Clingan(3gls,1asst).
Keeper Kieran Westwood should return with skipper Stephen Wright, and defender Jordan Clarke returns from suspension.
Scunthorpe Utd v Leicester City
Scunthorpe have striker Ben May and Kenny Milne unavailable through injury again, but first choice keeper Joe Murphy is expected to regain his jersey as he returns from suspension.
Midfielder Grant McCann(5gls,1asst) could return to the squad.
Leicester City skipper Matt Oakley(3assts) returns from suspension which gives manager Nigel Pearson a selection dilemma.
However, Aleksander Tunchev & Stephen Clemence remain the long-term absentees.
Sheffield Weds v West Brom
Wednesday are expected to slot their two new on-loan signings into their team against second-placed West Brom – Warren Feeney (Cardiff) & Tom Soares (Stoke) will be a welcome addition to the Owls.
Midfielder Tommy Miller is sidelined, while Francis Jeffers is doubtful. Otherwise, there are no other injuries or suspensions for Brian Laws’ side.
West Brom have been struck down with various injuries ahead of their trip to Hillsbrough; aside from long-term casualties James Morrison,Ishmael Miller & Neil Clement, they have serious doubts over Jerome Thomas(4gls),Filipe Teixeira,Robert Koren(1gl) & left-back Joe Mattock(1asst), while Shelton Martis(2gls) and Roman Bednar(3gls) are both complaining of flu symptoms.
Cardiff City v Ipswich Town
Cardiff entertain lowly Ipswich in a bid to kick-start their promotion campaign – young highly-rated defender Adam Matthews(1gl,1asst) is expected to be fit in time, but Kevin McNaughton is doubtful.
Ipswich Town could include loan striker Stern John to their squad that travel to Cardiff, desperate for three points to alleviate the pressure on manager Roy Keane.
Midfielder David Norris and winger Luciano Civelli are both out until the end of the year.
Blackpool v Preston NE
Blackpool could include loan midfielder Barry Bannan (Aston Villa) for the visit of rivals Preston.
Meanwhile, Hameur Bouzza(1gl) and Ishmel Demontagnac could both be doubtful for the local derby.
Preston defender Youl Mawene will miss the Lancashire derby after going off against Newcastle in midweek.
