The undefeated Chile are looking well equipped to make a very good run at the Copa America title in Argentina, and Chile v Venezuela football betting is a big quarter final clash. With two wins and a draw from their three group matches, and topping Group C ahead of Uruguay, Chile have set themselves up with a quarter final clash against Venezuela. It was important for Chile to win the group, because it mean that they have avoided Argentina in the quarter finals, leaving that for second placed Uruguay to deal with. Chile have a huge support at the tournament, and by and large they have been one of the best footballing sides in the 2011 Copa America. They have taken a little different approach with their tactics, being adventurous by just going with three at the back in a 3-3-1-3 formation. This means that they have protection in front of the back four, but there is also a lot of versatility going forward from Chile. It is this slightly unique approach which is making them so watchable (apart from their final group match against Peru which was terrible). The talent and craft is there in the side, and they have shaken off some of the defensive shackles which sort of held them back when the respected Marcelo Bielsa was in charge. Chile have good width and adventure down the flanks and have finishing power. They will be looking at the draw and be pretty happy with playing in San Juan against Venezuela. Venezuela have actually acquitted themselves quite well to the task which they had at hand. After being dumped in a group along with Brazil and the potentially dangerous Paraguay, it is Venezuela who have come through the group stage with some of the highest acclaim. Venezuela do look pretty solid at the back, quite organised and hard working, and aren’t’ afraid to get at teams going down the flanks either. Venezuela fired off a crucial 1-0 win over Ecuador in their second match, before finding themselves embroiled in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Paraguay in the final group match. After falling behind 3-1 in the 85th minute, Venezuela looked down and out, but with pulling a goal back in the 89th minute, and then two minutes into injury time, the flurry of late goals saw Venezuela salvage a point to keep themselves in second place. They will be underdogs against Chile, who do look a very good side, and they could give the favourites a harder time than they make be expecting in Chile v Venezuela Copa America football betting.
