Sweden look ready to end German domination

Teams from 12 nations will contest the UEFA Women’s Euro 2013, among them Hope Powell‘s England who will be hoping to put a smile back on the country’s football fans after a traumatic month which has seen both the men’s U21 and U20 sides crash out of major competitions in the group stages without winning a match. But if any team is going to end German domination this year, it might be Sweden. This year’s hosts, twice finalists and beaten semi-finalists on two other occasions, are strongly fancied to end up with top honours this time.
