Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix Betting

Betting for the Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix, will take a slightly unexpected turn, as the Ferrari’s failed to take pole position for the first race of the season. Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, arguably have the best cars for the new season, and they were expected to dominate right from the off. But a spanner was thrown in the works of the Italian team, as Germany’s Sebastian Vettel stormed to the front of the grid after qualifying. Vettel, in his Red Bull, a team which have been promising the media that they are ready to challenge for both Drivers and Constructors Championships, stepped to the fore with his final lap, edging out Massa and Alonso. Vettel’s team mate Mark Webber could only manage sixth on the grid.

The McLaren team of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, who looked good through winter testing, but were not expected to be quite as quick as the front runners, and they weren’t. Hamilton, who probably has the edge this season over current champion Jenson Button, will start fourth on the grid, while Button will get his season underway from a disappointing eighth. What of the return of Michael Schumacher in his Mercedes? His statement that he needs to up his game, will still be ringing in his ears, as he runs from seventh on the grid. His team mate Nico Rosberg goes from fifth. Whether Schumacher can make an impression this season, will not fully be understood by this race. The longer the season goes on, the more competitive he is likely to be, as he tweaks himself and his car. But, after returning from retirement, a seventh place on the starting grid is nothing to be sneezed at after 3 years away from the cockpit.
