Injuries & Suspensions
Saturday 31st March 2012
Barclays Premier League
Aston Villa v Chelsea (kick off 15:00)
Aston Villa have a bit of a right-back crisis ahead of the visit of Chelsea to Villa Park. Alan Hutton is out with a calf strain so expect either Chris Herd or Eric Lichaj to deputise. Long-term absentees are Charles N’Zogbia, Richard Dunne, Fabian Delph and Ciaran Clark. Stiliyan Petrov has been diagnosed with acute leukemia and he will miss this game.
Chelsea can welcome back Branislav Ivanovic and Ramires following minor knocks but they will force Raul Meireles to undergo a fitness test on his knee.
Everton v West Bromwich Albion (kick off 15:00)

Everton will be without Seamus Coleman, Jack Rodwell and Royston Drenthe. Steven Pienaar returns to the squad having been ineligible for the Toffee’s midweek FA Cup tie.

James Morrison could be out for the rest of the season after damaging some knee ligaments last weekend. Paul Scharner or Graham Dorrens could replace him. Steven Reid is still out with a foot injury, as is Zoltan Gera (knee).
Fulham v Norwich City (kick off 15:00)

Fulham recalled young midfielder Alex Kacaniklic from his loan at Watford and the Sweden U-19 international goes straight into the match day squad. The Cottagers are still without Neil Etheridge, Zdenek Grygera, Steve Sidwell and Orlando Sa.

Norwich target man Grant Holt is banned for the trip to London. Anthony Pilkington is rated as doubtful with a hamstring strain while Marc Tierney, Daniel Ayala and James Vaughan are all still on the treatment table.

Manchester City v Sunderland (kick off 15:00)
The big news that emerged from the Manchester City camp on Friday was that star striker Sergio Aguero is out due to a ‘stupid’ foot injury. Nobody know any more than that outside of those directly involved. Skipper Vincent Kompany should return after his calf injury cleared up but Joleon Lescott remains out with a groin problem. Expect  Carlos Tevez to be on the City bench.
Sunderland cannot field Wayne Bridge against Chelsea under the terms of the player’s loan agreement. Kieren Richardson is the likely replacement but he has just returned to fitness following a calf strain. Jack Colback returns to the squad and may be utilised in the left-back role. John O’Shea is still out with a calf problem, while Lee Cattermole twisted his knee and will be assessed shortly before kick off.
Queens Park Rangers v Arsenal (kick off 15:00)

QPR will have to entertain Arsenal without striker Djibril Cisse, who begins a four-match ban. Armand Traore is out for another week with a hamstring injury, joining DJ Campbell (also hamstring) and Heidar Helguson (knee) on the sidelines.

Arsenal can welcome back Laurent Koscielny after his recent knee injury. Hamstring injuries are scuppering Francis Coquelin and Abou Diaby’s chances of making this game, but their return is getting closer. Per mertesacker and Jack Wilshere remain on the casualty list.

Wigan Athletic v Stoke City (kick off 15:00)
Victor Moses‘ jaw is not broken and the striker should be declared fit to face Stoke. Mohamed Diame and Hugo Rodellega face fitness tests on minor injury but their participation chances is rated less than 50%. David Jones is fit again but Mike Pollitt is still a week or two away from rejoining the match-day squad.
Ricardo Fuller returns to the Stoke squad after his ban, and Jonathan Woodgate could also return after finally shaking off a calf injury. Robert Huth is carrying a knock but should feature, whereas Salif Diao will definitely miss out due to a hamstring issue.
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Bolton Wanderers (kick off 15:00)
Wolves are waiting on the health of Karl Henry to be assessed before finalising their match-day squad. He’s carrying a hamstring injury and hasn’t played for some two months. Ronald Zubar returns from a suspension but David Davis is still a week away from being included in the squad.
Darren Pratley is out for Bolton with a gashed leg but expect David Wheater to return to the travelling squad. Fabrice Muamba remains in hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Sunday 01st April 2012
Barclays Premier League
Newcastle United v Liverpool (kick off 13:30)

Newcastle can recall Cheick Tiote and Ryan Taylor after the pair’s recent injuries have cleared up. Fabricio Coloccini has torn his hamstring and joins Peter Lovenkrands, Leon Best, Sammy Ameobi, Steven Taylor and Sylvain Marveaux on a lengthy casualty list.

Liverpool travel without the injured Charlie Adam as he awaits the results of a scan on a knee problem. However, Glen Johnson, Martin Kelly and Daniel Agger are all available for selection. Craig Bellamy remains on the treatment table (calf) and Maxi Rodriguez returns after a virus.
Tottenham Hotspur v Swansea City (kick off 16:00)
Spurs should be able to welcome back winger Aaron Lennon after he recovered from a hamstring injury. Expect Ledley King to be rested after he played midweek and he’ll watch from the stands alongside long-term casualties Michael Dawson, Heurelho Gomes and Tom Huddlestone.

Nathan Dyer returns from a ban and will slot straight back into the Swansea side in Wayne Routledge‘s place. Andrea orlandi is battling back to full fitness but will miss out on this game.

Monday 02nd April 2012
Barclays Premier League
Blackburn Rovers v Manchester United (kick off 20:00)
Blackburn will give Gael Givet every chance to prove his fitness ahead of the Monday night clash with Manchester United. He is feeling a hamstring twinge and will undergo a late test on it. Apart from Givet, expect blackburn to name a largely unchanged side from their Bolton defeat.
Manchester United will start with Rio Ferdinand in the centre of their defence after he has recovered from a back complaint which forced him to be substituted lat weekend. Nani is still out (ankle) and joins Michael Owen, Anders Lindegaard, Anderson, Darren Fletcher and Nemanja Vidic in the physio’s room.
