FA Cup betting

On this page you find articles on FA Cup betting and sports betting in general.

Jermain Defoe (Tottenham)

Spurs v Bolton FA Cup betting is being well covered by popular bookie Boylesports this weekend. We are at the quarter final stage of this year’s competition, and Spurs look to have drawn a comfortable home tie against the struggling Bolton. Spurs already beat Bolton 3-0 at White Hart Lane earlier in the Premier League season, and so Tottenham are expected to be amongst the goals, which gives a great opportunity to dip into the Tottenham v Bolton First Goalscorer market. Doing so at Boylesports, will give you some great coverage on your football betting as well, because if your First Goalscorer selection fails, Boylesports will refund your lost stake on that player with a free bet, if your selection nets the second goal of the game.

So a decent bit of coverage here, especially on the main protagonists in the match, which will be the home side’s Emmanuel Adebayor, Jermain Defoe and Luis Saha at around 4/1. So there is good value to be had, all backed up by the Boylesports First Goalscorer Special. This same offer also applies to the other three FA Cup semi finals this weekend too. Popular online bookmaker Boylesports, offer a free £20 bet for new customers registering an account with them. The bookie will match the value of your first stake on a new account (which has to be a minimum of £10) with a free bet up to the maximum value of £20! That gives you some nice free betting cash to enjoy on your new account.

Spurs v Bolton FA Cup Odds
Spurs to win: 1/3 at Paddy Power
Draw: 19/4 at BetVictor
Bolton to win: 11/1 at Bet Victor

Both sides will be secretly hoping that there is a result in Saturday’s fixture, as neither need a replay right now. Spurs turn their attention back to the FA Cup after a run of three straight losses in the Premier League, which has seen their charge for a third spot finish come under threat from Arsenal and Chelsea. So Spurs definitely need to get back on track, but their slump in form has come during a really tough period of the fixture list for them. That’s not making excuses, as they have failed to deliver against the best teams in the league, but it also illustrates the point that they are better than their results suggest. Yes, the goals have dried up a little bit, largely from a bit of tactical tinkering from boss Harry Redknapp, but Spurs have been a very good side this season, and this current form is just a bit of anomaly.

This will be the perfect match for them to get their season back on track, and while the Premier League is a huge priority with them, because of the Champions League place that is at stake, they are within two matches of an FA Cup final at Wembley, and they are going to go for it. Spurs have lost three of their last four FA Cup quarter final encounters, but this is at home where they have not lost in eight. Spurs do have the quality and the power to finish of Bolton reasonably easily one would think, so this should be an exercise in confidence for the White Hart Laners.

Spurs did need a replay to get past Stevenage Borough in the last round after being held at home, so Tottenham will want to finish this job first time and get back to league duties. Tottenham’s home form in the Premier League this season suggests that they will get the job done, winning ten, losing two and drawing two. Their two home defeats in the league have come against both of the Manchester Clubs. Spurs average over two goals per game at home and are pretty sound defensively, so all stats point to a home, morale boosting win.

Bolton reached the semi finals of the FA Cup last season, where they were hammered by Stoke City. Can they get back there? Well, they haven’t been handed a good draw. Bolton will want a result because they are heavily involved in the fight against relegation this season. Owen Coyle has found a little relief in the FA Cup this season, but an appearance at Wembley would probably be sacrificed in return for Premier League status next season. To their credit though, Bolton have come through some tricky FA Cup matches, where they could have suffered a banana skin. There was a trip to Millwall in the last round, a game against Swansea, and they needed a replay to edge out Macclesfield in the third round. The Trotters have already had one miserable journey to White Hart Lane this season, and with just four wins and ten defeats on the road in the Premier League, it could be another one. Bolton’s current form in the Premier League reads four defeats and one win, and they haven’t scored a goal in their last four away matches, conceding ten.

Football Betting

There were some interesting outcomes in FA Cup betting last weekend, none gaining more attention than Chelsea’ failure to beat Championship side Birmingham City at Stamford Bridge, or Tottenham’s inability to see off the dogged Stevenage Borough. So that has left us with two replays to come to settle the final eight for this year’s FA Cup quarter finals. We know what is at stake now in FA Cup betting, with the quarter final draw being pretty kind to the big guns left standing in the tournament at the moment.

It is Harry Redknapp’s Spurs who are the outright favourites to win the FA Cup this season, and they are trading at 5/2 with Paddy Power as favourites. No matter what they tried, they couldn’t find a way through a very brave Stevenage at Broadhall Way, which has the forced the replay, an extra game that Spurs could really do without on their Premier League title quest. Spurs will be strong favourites of course back at White Hart Lane for the replay, and the reward is a home tie against Bolton Wanderers in the quarter finals, who beat Millwall 2-0 at The Den to progress.

Liverpool, after their 6-1 drubbing of Brighton are also trading well, and they remain at Anfield for the quarter final draw, as they face an all Premier League clash against Tony Pulis’s Stoke City. Stoke, despite being down to ten men for a long period, secured a comfortable 2-0 away win at Crawley Town on Sunday to move through to the quarters. Despite their poor form in the Premier League, despite rumours of a players revolt, despite not being able to beat Birmingham at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea who had to come from behind to secure a draw against the Championship side, are still one of the main players in the hunt. They won’t fully be relishing a replay at St Andrews against an in form Birmingham, as there could be a massive banana skin waiting for Andre Villas Boas there. The winner of the Birmingham v Chelsea replay gets the advantage of a home draw in the quarter finals against Leicester City.

There is an all Premier League clash in the other quarter final for FA Cup Betting, and that is Everton v Sunderland. While Everton were putting paid to Blackpool at Goodison Park, Sunderland, as many expected they would, enacted some revenge on Arsenal, beating the Gunners, who were still clearly shaken after their 4-0 thrashing by AC Milan. Sunderland had lost to Arsenal in the Premier League on the weekend before their FA Cup clash, with a late, late goal from Thierry Henry. There was no such concerns for Martin O’Neill’s men this time around, as the Black Cats moved through, and probably make a seriously good outside bet for the cup.

Ladbrokes

Stevenage v Tottenham FA Cup Betting Odds are being well covered for punters at highly popular online bookmaker Ladbrokes. The popular bookie has rolled out a great Money Back Special for the match, which sees League One side Stevenage host the highly flying, Premier League title challengers Spurs. Even though Harry Redknapp’s men are away from home, the expected gulf in class is expected to pay off in the end for the White Hart Lane crew, as they take on the underdogs. Will the match result in Tottenham going goal crazy? If Spurs do bring their shooting boots to the match, then you could be in for some lost stake refunds on Stevenage v Spurs FA Cup Betting. If Tottenham turn up and score four or more goals in the match, then Ladbrokes will pay out refunds on all losing First Goalscorer bets. So great coverage on your First Goalscorer options here, and the insurance offered by Ladbrokes gives you the chance to jump into the market where Tottenham’s Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor are both trading as 3/1 favourites, while Spurs new boy Louis Saha is just back behind them at 7/2. Spurs will naturally carry the greater threat and have the class and firepower to put on a bit of a show, so the Ladbrokes Money Back Special on the First Goalscorer market could pay off for you. The highly popular online bookmaker Ladbrokes offer a free £50 bet for new customers registering an account with them. The bookie will match the value of your first stake on a new account with a free bet, up to the maximum value of £50, giving you some great free betting cash to enjoy. So if Spurs score four or more goals in the match, then lost First Goalscorer bets will be refunded.

Stevenage v Tottenham FA Cup Betting Odds
Stevenage to win: 9/1 at Bet365
Draw: 9/2 at Boylesports
Tottenham to win: 1/3 at Totesport

League One side Stevenage, who are challenging for a play off spot in League One at the moment, will be buoyed by their current good form in the league. Stevenage, sitting in sixth place in the division host Spurs on the back of two straight wins. In fact there have been six wins out of their last eight matches now for Stevenage in League One and so they will be confident of giving Spurs a good run for their money at Broadhall Way. Stevenage beat Reading away from home in the Third Round of this season’s FA Cup, before heading home to earn a 1-0 victory over Notts County. Their reward for that was the great draw of Spurs at home, and naturally the lower league side will go into the match as firm underdogs, especially against a Tottenham side which continues to impress. Despite all the distractions surrounding Spurs boss Harry Redknapp due to his court case and him being linked to the England job, Redknapp insists that he remains focused on the job at hand at White Hart Lane. Spurs are still chasing down the two Manchester clubs in the Premier League title race, and have had a good week’s rest after thumping Newcastle 5-0 in the league last weekend. So Spurs are in terrific form, having lost just one Premier League match in their last eight, and with the added presence of Emmanuel Adebayor up front, the big striker has made such a difference to Spurs’ ability to bury the scraps up front. Spurs have great attacking options with the likes of Louis Saha, Jermain Defoe, Rafael van der Vaart and of course Gareth Bale. Spurs are one of the strong favourites to win the FA Cup this summer, and with a solid defence and an explosive attack, they will be expecting to book their place in the FA Cup quarter finals with some comfort on Sunday.

Didier Drogba (Chelsea)

Chelsea v Birmingham FA Cup betting is being covered by a great promotion at online bookmaker Boylesports. The Premier League side should feel more comfortable playing at home, and with the return of Didier Drogba from the Africa Cup of Nations, will be backed to get through. Things haven’t been all to smooth for new Chelsea boss Andre Villas Boas this season, but the FA Cup at least represents a very good chance to get some silverware. Will the return of Didier Drogba help give the Londoners a bit of extra cutting edge, or will Fernando Torres get another chance to get amongst the goals? Either way, Boylesports are offering a great Money Back Special for your Chelsea v Birmingham FA Cup betting. Back a First Goalscorer selection in the match, and if your selection fails to open the scoring, but does net the second goal of the game, then Boylesports will refund your lost stake as a free bet. So this gives you a little bit of coverage on your First Goalscorer betting, and is especially good value if you are going for the main protagonists in the match. Didier Drogba and Daniel Sturridge at 7/2 favourites in the Chelsea v Birmingham First Goalscorer market, while Fernando Torres is back at 9/2. So there is plenty of good options and value in the market, and with the extra insurance from Boylesports, if your First Goalscorer selection fails to score first, but scores second in the match, you will at least get your lost stake refunded. Popular online bookmaker Boylesports offer a free £20 bet for new customers registering an account with them. The bookie will match the value of your first stake on a new account with a free bet, up to the maximum value of £20, giving you a nice bit of free betting cash to enjoy to get started with.

Chelsea v Birmingham FA Cup betting odds
Chelsea to win: 2/7 at Bet365
Draw: 9/2 at SkyBet
Birmingham to win: 11/1 at Bet Victor

Chelsea haven’t been in terrific form of late, not picking up a win in the Prmier League for four matches now, and a hugely disappointing and deserved defeat against Everton last weekend, has put more pressure on Andre Villas Boas. The young manager has really not been able to get things going as well as he would have liked in his first season at the Bridge. He believes that he has the support of owner Roman Abrahmovic, but somewhere, unless results start turning around, he could be out of a job early. Chelsea are most likely going to miss out on the Premier League title, but they are a decent shout for success in the FA Cup. With the two Manchester clubs having already departed the competition, Chelsea are one of the front runners in FA Cup betting to go all of the way this season. Chelsea did come through a tough test away at QPR in the fourth round, where they had to show a bit of battling qualities under pressure. The Blues have simply not penetrated defences enough, and in general the front line has been pretty poor. Only magic from Juan Mata has really sparked the club into life and you can’t help feel that one way or the other, changes in personnel and perhaps manager will come in the summer. The goals have, worryingly, dried up for the Chelsea, who have only scored four goals in their last four Premier League matches (three of those against Man Utd). A Chelsea striker hasn’t scored in the league since December 31st, when Didier Drogba netted from the penalty spot. That has to point to something being just a little off with the system which they are playing. Still, Chelsea are expected to have the quality and class to convert chances at home against a Championship side, and a favourable draw through the competition could see them go all the way.

As for Birmingham, well they are ticking along just nicely in the Championship and pressing hard for a promotion spot back to the Premier League. There is no doubt that boss Chris Hughton has them playing very well at the moment, and they rattled off a four nil away win over Sheffield United in a fourth round replay to set up Chelsea v Birmingham FA Cup betting. Birmingham needed a replay in the third round as well, as they managed to see off rivals Wolves away from home as well. So Birmingham have not lost in the Championship for ten matches now, and are one of the best in form teams in the division. What really has to be noted here is their defence, which could well earn them at least a draw if Chelsea’s front line is misfiring again. Birmingham have only conceded one goal in their last six Championship matches. There are many Premier League teams which would be envious of that run. Still, even with everything not going quite to plan at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea are a tough proposition at Stamford Bridge. They have lost three Premier League matches there this season, but have rattled off seven wins and average over two goals per game. But it looks as if Chelsea will have a very hard time breaking down a very organised Birmingham City defence. The longer that the visitors keep Chelsea out, the more they will fancy their chances of taking the London Blues back to St Andrews and then it would really be game on .

BetFred

Crawley Town v Stoke City FA Cup Betting odds are being well covered by a great promotion at online bookmaker BetFred. The popular bookie is offering punters the chance to double or treble original First Goalscorer odds with their Double Delight and Hattrick Heaven promotion. League Two side Crawley have the chance to claim one of the big scalps in the FA Cup Fifth Round on Sunday, as they host Premier League side Stoke. BetFred are offering great prices in the First Goalscorer market for the FA Cup tie, and if you land a correct First Goalscorer bet in the match, and your selection then goes on to score a second goal in the game, then BetFred will Double your original First Goalscorer odds. If that successful First Goalscorer bet happens to go on and fire in a hat trick in the match, then you will be paid out at Treble your original First Goalscorer odds, so there is great value in Crawley v Stoke FA Cup betting with BetFred. It means that you can dip into the First Goalscorer market, where Stoke’s Peter Crouch and Jon Walters are trading as favourites at 5/1, with Kenwyne Jones just back at 11/2. So there is good value on the main protagonists, and you get the chance to double or treble those odds with BetFred. Highly rated online bookmaker BetFred offer a free £50 bet for new customers registering an account with them. The  bookie will match the value of your first stake on a new account with a free bet, up to the maximum value of £50, giving you some great free betting cash to enjoy.

Crawley Town v Stoke City FA Cup Betting Odds
Crawley to win: 11/4 at Totesport
Draw: 12/5 at SkyBet
Stoke to win: 11/10 at Bet365

League Two side Crawley are the lowest team left in this year’s competition. After securing victory over Bristol City in the Third Round, they then went to Hull and came away with a 1-0 win in the Fourth Round. That set up the big clash against Premier League opponents at the Broadfield Stadium on Sunday, as Tony Pulis brings his Stoke City to town. Crawley are sitting fifth in League Two, yet go into their big match on the back of a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Swindon. That has left Crawley with just one win from their last five league matches now, totalling one win, one loss and three drawn matches. Their home form though has been very good, winning eleven of their fourteen league matches at Broadfield this season, while losing just two.

As for Stoke, they are on a terrible skid at the moment, compounded by defeat at home in the Europa League against Spain’s Valencia on Thursday. That has come amidst a run of four straight Premier League defeats for Stoke, who have won just one of their last eight league matches in total. This is largely because the Potters are struggling to put the ball in the back of the net, and things just not quite going their way at the moment. In the FA Cup though, they have come through two tricky away matches, beating Gillingham in the Third Round and then taking out Derby County in the Fourth Round. The Premier League side will be pretty happy with the draw, but there will a small, intimidating atmosphere awaiting them at Crawley. With the Potters struggling for goals at the moment (with just two in their last five EPL matches), is a giant killing act waiting to be played out on Sunday?

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal)

The all premier League clash of Sunderland v Arsenal FA Cup betting has some great insurance on it thanks to the highly popular online bookmaker Paddy Power. The bookie is running a Money Back Special for the Sunderland v Arsenal betting, with some great coverage on a few markets. The Black Cats have found a new lease of life under Martin O’Neill, while Arsenal will be smarting from a huge disappointment in the champions League midweek. So, with Sunderland being at home, if they score first in the match, but fail to go on and secure victory, then Paddy Power will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, correct Score and Scorecast single bets placed on the match. This provides some superb coverage, and the Black Cats will really fancy their chances in the FA Cup this season. With the Paddy Power Money Back Special in place, it means that you can dip into the First Goalscorer market for example, where Robin van Persie is 7/2 favourite to open the scoring, while Fraizer Campbell is priced at 15/2 to strike first in the match. With Arsenal looking a bit shaky at the moment, there could be a bit of value in the Correct Score market, where a 1-0 home win is trading at 9/1 with Paddy Power. So great value around for Sunderland v Arsenal FA Cup betting and there is plenty of options being covered by the Money Back Special. If Sunderland score first but fail to win, then Paddy power will pay out lost stake refunds on all the markets mentioned above. The highly rated online bookmaker offers a free £50 bet for new customers registering an account with them. The bookie will match the value of your first stake on a new account with a free bet up to the maximum value of £50, giving new customers some great free betting cash to get started with!

Sunderland v Arsenal FA Cup betting odds
Sunderland to win: 2/1 at BetFred
Draw: 12/5 at Bet365
Arsenal to win: 6/4 at Bet Victor

It has been a season of two halves for Sunderland winning just two league games from the start of the season up until the start of December. Since then, Sunderland have rattled off seven wins and have only lost three of their last eleven. So a definite and huge improvement since they got rid of Steve Bruce and brought in Martin O’Neill. One definite big change has been in the defensive set up of the Black Cats, which has markedly improved. Sunderland have conceded just two goals in their last four Premier League matches and are looking a much more cohesive and polished side. So too, their return in front of goal has improved, averaging two goals per game in their last four Premier League matches. This is really without a prolific man up front to take them forward. Frazier Campbell and Stephane Sessegnon are chipping in and helping Sunderland get vital points on the board, but they are still lacking that individual spark. Sunderland will be looking to avenge a bit of harsh luck in last weekend’s Premier League fixture against Arsenal at the Stadium of Light. Arsenal’s Thierry Henry popped up in stoppage time to score a winner for the Gunners, who clawed their way back from falling behind to win 2-1. That was the second time this season the league that Arsenal have triumphed over Sunderland by that score line, so that is a good trend which may be worth looking out for in your Sunderland v Arsenal FA Cup betting. Sunderland have been much better at home lately, having lost just one of their last six home matches, winning four of those too. So, even though they came unstuck last weekend against the Gunners, will it be third time lucky against the London side this season? The Black Cats will be hungry to revenge those dropped points last week, and gave a good enough account of themselves to suggest that they can take this one off shoot out. Sunderland needed a replay against Middlesbrough to get through to face Arsenal here, winning 2-1 in extra time at Boro. That was after a comfortable 2-0 away win over Peterborough in the third round.

How badly will Arsenal be smarting from their Champions League humiliation in Rome? Arsenal were thumped 4-0 by AC Milan at the San Siro in the first leg of their last sixteen tie in the Champions League. Arsenal’s defence in midweek looked slow and really a bit clueless with the smart football that was being played in front of them. It is not as if Arsenal’s defence has been water tight all season really, and they are vulnerable to giving up goal. They have kept just two clean sheets in their last ten Premier League matches so there will be hope for Sunderland in this fixture. Arsenal must be a bit battered and bruised after their Champions League miseries, and they won’t be a fresh as Sunderland will be for this match of course. Does that swing the advantage back into the court of Sunderland? Arsenal have won just one of their last four away matches in the Premier League as well (last weekend’s triumph over Sunderland) and their main man Robin van Persie will need to stand up and be counted for them again, because they really lack firepower from elsewhere, especially now that Thierry Henry has finished his loan spell with the club. Arsenal had to fight off Aston Villa in the fourth round, beating out the Midlands side 3-2 in a great game at the Emirates, a game in which the Gunners were two nil down. In the third round, Arsenal beat Leeds United, also at the Emirates. The Gunners will be favourites in Sunderland v Arsenal FA Cup betting, but will know that a tough match will await them.

PaddyPower

Middlesbrough v Sunderland FA Cup betting is the big highlight of the midweek action, as six teams battle it out for a place in the fifth round. The Middlesbrough v Sunderland replay is one of three FA Cup Fourth Round replays this week, all following 1-1 draws at the first attempt. Premier League side Sunderland missed their opportunity to take advantage of home advantage at the end of January, and now Martin O’Neill’s men face a tricky trip to face Boro on their home turf. Middlesbrough, it has to be said, aren’t in the greatest form of the season at the moment, having not won in the Championship in their last six attempts. They face Sunderland on the back of 0-0 home draw against Crystal Palace in the league on Saturday, but they are still hanging on to sixth spot in the Championship after playing so strongly over the first half of the season. The replay should be just as tight as the first leg, as Middlesbrough don’t score a lot, and are relatively tight at the back. Their goal difference on the league season is just +3, so that tells you a lot. Sunderland rattled off another good win in their revival under Martin O’Neill, having now won five of their last six Premier League matches. They are a team in form and will be expected to move ahead to the fifth the round. The prize for the winner of this FA Cup Replay is a home fixture against Arsenal, so big things at stake here. Although they are away from home, the Black Cats are in great form right now, Boro are not and that really has to count for something in your betting options. Still, Sunderland aren’t a prolific goal scoring outfit themselves, and this is why Middlesbrough v Sunderland betting should be pretty tight. Extra time really isn’t out of the question in this fixture.

What else do we have to look forward to? Well League One high flyers Sheffield Wednesday get another crack at high flying Championship side Blackpool. Both sides won their respective league matches on the weekend, and both are in great shape at the moment. That is why this may be the most entertaining of the FA Cup replays this week. Picking a winner isn’t going to be easy from these two, especially with Sheffield Wednesday being at home, which levels the playing field even more. The winner of this replay is going to be an away tie against Premier League side Everton at Goodison Park, so there is a good pay day in the making for the winners here. The other Fourth Round tie to be settled, is Millwall v Southampton. Southampton, who are second in the Championship and hunting down a return to England’s top flight, square off against divisional rivals Millwall again. Millwall are struggling near the relegation zone, but neither side won on the weekend. While Millwall have lost six of their last eight league matches, Southampton’s form has stumbled a little bit as well. Still, the south coasters will be favoured to get through. They have met once in the Championship this season as well, and that produced a 1-0 home win for the Saints. And the Saints again will be excepted to go marching on to the fifth round, where a home tie against Premier League strugglers Bolton is awaiting.

Middlesbrough v Sunderland FA Cup Fourth Round Replay betting
Boro5/2, Draw 12/5, Sunderland 11/10 at Bet365

Sheffield Wednesday v Blackpool FA Cup Fourth Round Replay betting
Sheffield Wednesday 6/4, Draw 12/5, Blackpool 13/8 at SkyBet

Southampton v Millwall FA Cup Fourth Round Replay betting
Southampton 8/11, Draw 12/5, Millwall 15/4 at Boylesports

When little clusters of matches like this, there is always a good opportunity to build yourself a multiple bet. What is equally as good, is the chance to take some insurance on your accumulator if you having a crack at one. Paddy Power offer such insurance, with their Half Time Saver. Place a fourfold (or larger) bet, and if your bet is winning at half time (meaning that all selections are winning at half time in the selected matches), but for some reason or another the bet fails at the end of 90 minutes, then you will get your lost stake refunded as a free bet. This gives coverage on your accumulator betting, and with the three FA Cup replays above, you will need to add a fourth match in order to qualify. But there is Birmingham v Portsmouth going off in the Championship on the night of the first replays as an option, but shop around and you can good insurance from the Paddy Power half time saver. Online bookmaker Paddy Power offer a free £50 bet for new customers registering an account. The bookie will match the value of your first stake on a new account with a free bet, up to the maximum value of £50.

FA Cup Winner 2010 (Chelsea)

We are down to the last sixteen now in the FA Cup betting for this season and the field is narrowing, but the competitors at the head of the field are pretty tightly packed. Naturally the announcement of the firth round draw was all important in the recent reshuffle of prices and it is Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool who are joint favourites to take the trophy this time around. Spurs saw off Watford to book their place in the fifth round, while Liverpool scored a dramatic late win over Manchester United at Old Trafford, thanks to Dirk Kuyt capitalising on some shoddy defending by the Red Devils. While Liverpool get to stay at home for the fifth round, as they take on Brighton again in cup competition, Spurs travel away to Stevenage. Liverpool played Brighton in the Carling Cup this season on their way to the final, and the Seagulls gave the Anfield crew a great run for their money before succumbing 2-1. Brighton saw off Premier League opposition in Newcastle in the fourth round and will be up for the challenge at Anfield. League One side Stevenage drew Spurs in an attractive fixture for them, their reward for edging past Notts County, so both of the FA Cup front runners have decent draws. Crawley Town get to host a Premier League side competitively for the first time ever at the Broadfield Stadium, while Chelsea, who navigated a dour trip to QPR entertain Birmingham at Stamford Bridge. Arsenal have a tricky fixture away from The Emirates, as they will face either Sunderland or Middlesbrough.

There are three fourth round replays to be settled, which are to be played on February 7th. Sheffield Wednesday v Blackpool, Middlesbrough v Sunderland and Southampton v Millwall.

FA Cup fifth round – February 18th-19th
Liverpool v Brighton
Everton v Blackpool or Sheffield Wednesday
Chelsea v Birmingham
Crawley Town v Stoke
Stevenage v Tottenham
Norwich v Leicester
Sunderland or Middlesbrough v Arsenal
Millwall or Southampton v Bolton

It will be worth dropping by online bookmaker Ladbrokes for Sunderland v Middlesbrough FA Cup betting on Sunday. The bookie has a great betting promotion running for the FA Cup fourth round match at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland host Championship side Middlesbrough, who are chasing a play off place in the division at the moment. Sunderland have undergone something of a revival since Martin O’Neill took over from the sacked Steve Bruce, tightening up at the back a lot and becoming a force to be reckoned with. They are finally starting to live up to potential and a different looking side from the one which struggled through the first half of the season. Sunderland, who will be without Nicolas Bendtner will be favourites to take a stride forward in the competition as they face a Middlesbrough side who are riding high, but are on a bad run of form. Borough have lost three league matches in a row now, as they have hit a major slump. They are still clinging on to a play off place in the Championship, just about, but they have lost a lot of ground with no win in four. But the FA Cup is always a great distraction for Championship side when there is the chance of claiming a Premier League scalp, and with this being a Wear-Tees derby of course, then the emotions and passions will be running high. One thing that Middlesbrough can take into the match is an unbeaten run of four games against Sunderland in their previous meetings. So they can take a bit of confidence with them, and no doubt a win over Sunderland would help with confidence in getting their Championship challenge back on track.

But Sunderland are favourites, and if they open the scoring to take the lead the in the match but fail to go on and win, then online bookmaker Ladbrokes will refund lost Goalscorer bets. So there is some good Sunderland v Middlesbrough FA Cup betting insurance to take here with Ladbrokes. It means you jump right into the First Goalscorer market, where Stephane Sessegnon is favourite at 5/1, with Frazier Campbell and Connor Wickham just behind at 11/2 in the market. So good value, if you take end up with a losing First Goalscorer selection, but Sunderland fail to go on and win the match after scoring first, then it will be time for refunds! Qualifying bets have to be placed before kick off. Popular bookie Ladbrokes offer a free £50  bet for new customers registering an account. The bookie will match the value of your first stake on a new account with a free bet, up to the maximum value of £50 giving you some great free betting cash to enjoy.
