It didn’t take us too long to decide that a clash between arguably the countries two most bitterest rivals, yet most successful in the county, as our highlight for Sunday. Although this isn’t quite a derby fixture it might as well be for the fans as a loss hurts just as much as a defeat by Everton for Liverpool or a loss to Man City for United.

All the pressure will be on the hosts, Liverpool, due to their disastrous run-in which has seen them lose four games on the trot in all competitions, their worst run for over 30 years. However, a win over the Red Devils would put their recent ’setbacks’ pretty much to bed as it would hand the Liverpool fans all the bragging rights in what has to be the most eagerly anticipated Premiership fixture of the season, for every season for that matter.

Manchester United won’t get a better opportunity to get one over on a side that completed the league double over them last season, with the 4-1 spanking at Old Trafford a game that will live long in the memory for the all the wrong reasons as far as the United camp is concerned. Sir Alex Ferguson will set his side out to return the favour in a clash shown live on Sky Sports and we simply cannot wait for this game to kick off in what should be an electric atmosphere at Anfield. The arrival of a former cult hero in Michael Owen will make for one very hostile atmosphere and this is a natch which shouldn’t be missed for a second, from the pre-match build up all the way to the after match analysis.

The BBC have purchased 10 Championship games throughout the course of the calendar year and we advise you take full advantage of this rare terrestrial TV delight.

Derby will have high hopes of halting the QPR express that he seen the travellers record two successive wins in the league over two very good sides in Preston North End & Reading, scoring four in both encounters. Derby, however, have found wins extremely hard to come by and are without a victory and a goal in their last two outings in the league, failing to score at both Leicester (0-0) & Middlesborough (2-0).

The last football viewing on the BBC resulted in an entertaining affair when Newcastle trounced Ipswich Town at Portman Road, winning 4-0. We aren’t too confident in this fixture replicating the goal count in that game but the pair should still provide us with an entertaining affair nevertheless.

Personal Highlight – AC Milan V AS Roma

Two of the more prestigious team in Italy do battle once again as Carlo Cudicini takes his Roma side to the San Siro to take on AC Milan with the Milan boss; Leonardo, a Brazilian great, under immense pressure to not only improve Milan’s results but also get the side playing attractive football. Roma made a terrible start to the season but they have shown signs of improved form and they will be aiming to keep their season firmly on track, albeit it a very tough venue.

AC Milan, despite their severe dip in form which has seen them fail to win any of their previous league fixrures, are the favourites to beat an old foe but they were thumped the last time a big side came a calling, in a 4-0 defeat at home to Inter Milan.

Roma, after defeats in their opening two fixtures, have remained unbeaten since, recording three wins and two draws since. They have earned draws in their previous two away outings, neither against noteworthy teams but they would take a draw here.

Conditions – As the old saying goes ‘you don’t get anything for free in this world’. Well, that’s not completely true. Betfair are certainly an exception to this rule as they will allow you to watch every game they stream absolutely free, with no bet nor cash in your account needed to watch their streams.

However, there are always going to be a few Scrooges. As far as I’m aware, Bet365 & PaddyPower will let you watch their streams free, also, although i can honestly say i haven’t used their streams for a while now, so don’t quote me on that. Ladbrokes should also follow similar guidelines as I’ve watched a game recently on there, free of charge!

Expekt & bWin do require that you have some form of cash in your account before you can watch their streams, although, I’m pretty sure that is all you need, just some cash in your account and not that you actually have a punt on the match you wish to watch.

Recommendations: I personally prefer to use Betfair, mainly because the coverage is shown on a slightly bigger screen and you can interact with fellow Betfair ‘forumites’ whilst indulging in a spot of footie watching. You need nothing but an account to watch their streams so if you’re strapped for cash and struggling to make the hours tick by, why not log in or simply sign up and watch some football on the net, via Betfair!

Must Watch – Portugal V Hungary & Argentina V Peru

Two giants of the footballing world are on the verge of collapse as both Argentina & Portugal cling on for dear life in a bid yo scrape through their respective groups. Although, from an English perspective anyway, the absence of both Christiano Ronaldo & Lionel Messi will benefit other countries chances of winning the tournament next summer, from a purist point of view, a World Cup without the two stand out players of our current generation doesn’t bare thinking about. Make sure you tune into both and see how the pair get on, with Portugal kicking off on Saturday evening and Argentina playing later that night.
