WTA Guangzhou Open Tennis Betting Info
Really interesting field heading out to China this week for this International tier event. The field is really tight and actually heading up the market as outright favourite, is Britain’s Laura Robson who goes as third seed. Can she deliver in what is still a tough draw for her?

WTA Guangzhou Open Tennis Betting Tips:
It could be all eyes on Laura Robson here. She made the final of this event twelve months ago, when she was not ranked as highly in the world as she is now. The draw ahead of her too looks pretty comfortable too, and she should really be a dead cert for a place in the quarter finals. There is a good chance for her to build some momentum and at the semi final stage her toughest test is likely to come. That will be in the form of Sorana Cirstea, who is ranked inside the top twenty five in the world. Because of the young Romanian’s presence, there could be value on an each way bet for Robson, or indeed Cirstea.

Cirstea is a threat, having been to a couple of semi finals this season and making it to the final of Toronto where she knocked out some big names along the way, losing in the final though to Serena Williams. Cirstea and Robson have only met once before, and that was here last year, a match which Robson won comfortably.

So that is what the top half of the draw is likely to come down to in Guangzhou. Here you have defending champion Su-Wei Hsieh, who beat Robson in last year’s final and naturally she will have extra motivation to hang on to her title. But there’s nothing to really suggest in form that she’ll roll up her sleeves and make a repeat. The other names down in the bottom half are Alize Cornet who has been looking relatively competitive over the last couple of months and the dark horses of Urszula Radwanska and Shuai Peng. They are around Robson’s standings in the world rankings. Although it’s not her best surface, Cornet looks a decent each way shot as well this week but seeing anything other than Robson or Cirstea take the title could be a surprise.
