Skybet is the online betting wing of one of the leading and quickly expanding UK based bookmakers, Hestview Limited (based in Harrogate North Yorkshire). They have been in business of offering competitive odds and great customer support for over 25 years.

Skybet is part of the leading sports group British Sky Broadcasting plc and has been operating strictly online since 1998. Subsequently the online bookmaker has expanded into 5 distinct areas of betting services; sports betting, poker, vegas (casino games), bingo and games whilst securing services on satellite channels Sky Vegas and Sky Poker.

Further developments have enabled customers to bet through their TV via the now renowned ‘red button’. This option exists strictly to existing customers since an account number and password is required to access it.

Skybet.com is a stunning website to use. The design of the site enables easy access to whatever you desire and everything simply explained at every turn. The odds are not fantastic but are generally ‘up there’ amongst the best for pretty much everything and in some cases excel rival bookmakers quite considerably. There is also a wide range of sports available and it must be mentioned that Skybet really outclass rival bookmakers when it comes to ‘live games’. In such games (those shown live on TV) there can be as many as 50 markets for any one match. The minimum bet is £0.05.

Note must also be mentioned of the easy access to help and support available on the website. The support group can be contacted 24/7 via telephone or email but I have not required to do so since there is an excellent help section on the website that explains anything and everything any gunning gambler needs to know.

At present Skybet offer the bonus of a matched bet up to £20 to new customers and it is often always available. During some periods the bookmaker enhances such bonus and sometimes the bonus is as high as £50. Such periods include large horse racing festivals such as the upcoming Cheltenham festival. The bonuses are simple to receive since all you have to do is place a bet and it does not matter what the outcome of said bet is. Note however, that the free bet cannot be withdrawn and must be used to place a bet with the then resulting winnings (if applicable) then available for withdrawal.

There are often attractive bonus offers for existing customers as well throughout the year such as free bets and enhanced odds.

You can make deposits in the following ways: Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Solo, Switch, Laser and Bank Wire – so essentially in any way you want. I have not encountered any fees whilst depositing via Visa Electron and I have been assured that there are no deposit charges whatsoever.

You can have withdrawals made to you in exactly the same ways as for deposits made by you. The majority are not succumbed to any fees but note that charges are made to international withdrawals made through MasterCard, Visa and Bank Wire.

I always make withdrawals by Visa and this is nearly always fairly quick (1-2 day) and problem free.

In summing up, you could say that Skybet are a major, reliable bookie with odds in the top third and outstanding bonus offers and certainly make things enjoyable when one is making things ‘matter more when there’s money on it’.
