Arsenal have been in and out of the title race this season more often than John Terry and the pants of women who are not his wife (we’ll get a few more miles out of this). Firmly back in the race, for this week anyway, the Gunners face a tough trip to the Britannia Stadium, where Stoke put an end to their title hopes last season. Unsurprisingly, it was the bionic arms of Rory Delap and poor defending from Arsenal which was to blame for that 2-1 loss…and for the 3-1 defeat they suffered there in the FA Cup this season. It’s now been over twenty years since Arsenal last beat Stoke away from home in any competition.
