The clocks may have gone forward an hour and the swallows are on the way back for the summer, but that’s no reason to get rid of your blue and white scarf. After all, when you don’t qualify for the Champions League you’ll be out in the cold. Arf, arf. The pressure of the Man City job is definitely getting to Roberto Mancini after he grappled with David Moyes to get the ball back in their defeat to Everton. The Scot, presumably, had threatened to go home with it. The Italian has been charged with improper conduct, but… err… the Everton boss has defended his colleague’s actions. “I think neither of us should be brought before the FA,” the Toffees chief insisted. Can City hit back with a win over Wigan at Eastlands? Mon 8pm ESPN

Rather than going down the ‘appearing on the front of Hello! Magazine’ route to confirm they have a rock solid relationship, Newcastle Utd’s Steven Taylor has allegedly decided to bring Andy Carroll to court. The Magpies duo were involved in a training ground bust-up over sext messages Taylor had received from Carroll’s former partner. People seem to be ignoring the more shocking fact about the whole saga; there was a training ground bust-up and words ‘Joey’ and ‘Barton’ were nowhere to be seen. Apparently the club have sided with Carroll over the matter which left Taylor with a broken jaw. He’s now on the brink of throwing in the towel. There’s Nott a chance Newcastle will throw away their advantage in the Championship against Forest ! Mon 7.45pm SS1

As you’ll be no doubt reminded by Sky Sports with a montage of shots from different angles to Nena’s “99 Red Balloons”, a red Liverpool-branded beachball helped Sunderland beat Rafa Benitez’s men the last time the two sides met in the league. It was a deflating experience for the Reds who had to watch the first beachball to score in the north east since Micky Quinn. Alas, Black Cats manager Steve Bruce has no intention to field the floating striker at Anfield again – their fans will do that. “I am sure there will be a few of our fans taking beachballs,” he said, before revealing that result at the Stadium of Light was “no fluke”. Are Liverpool pumped up enough to beat Sunderland this time round! Sun 4pm SS1

Barry Ferguson and Rafa Benitez have a lot in common. Poor English skills . Both haven’t much time for Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce with the former calling the manager a very rotund individual, not in those diplomatic terms. It was Big Sam who had the last laugh with a 2 – 0 victory over Birmingham that all but guaranteed their place in the Premier League. It means they can “relax” ahead of their clash with local rivals Burnley. “We can go there, relax, just try and enjoy the game as best we can,” Sam said, in a nod and a wink kind of way to old mate and Clarets manager Brian Laws. Burnley are desperate for a win to beat relegation. Take Laws in to your own hands and back Burnley to win! Sun 12pm SS1
