Despite not winning, the World number one didn’t look as though his game had been greatly affected by spending three months in a health spa playing golf sex addiction clinic. “As far as competing, it was just like riding a bike again,” said Woods on his blog this week. Speaking of riding bikes… “Once the tournament came, everything felt normal, and I fell into my old rhythm and routine. I didn’t even think about it; it just happened. It’ll be all sunshine and cigars at the Open de Espána this week. The Miguel Angel Jimenez organised event will provide a welcome change from the challenging conditions the tournaments in China and South Korea provided over the past few weeks, though with Jimenez and Darren Clarke taking part there may be some visibility problems for their playing partners. The Mechanic has won on home soil on four occassions but with the last of them coming back in 2003 he’ll be targeting this event for his fifth. Jimenez has won already this season, beating the in-form Lee Westwood in a play-off for the Omega Dubai Desert Classic. Will Jimenez be able to smoke the competition in the Open de Espána ?
