With a grown-up in a boy’s body and a thirteen year-old, geeza in a man’s body. Daddy wasn’t doing his son any favours by bigging it up in the press and accusing Manchester City of “mugging off” poor Shaun. Roberto Mancini is having none of it and sent a subtle warning to the winger: “If a player speaks with me, it is better for him, for me and for the club. We have time for his contract, but it is important that Shaun plays well for the team.” In other words, if you can’t get your dad to grow up, you better at least get him to shut up.
