Alex’s mum Melissa – who was in 90s band Soul II Soul – revealed that Mr. Wonder is a friend of the family since a chance meeting in a London bar several years ago and he regularly calls with advice. "Stevie knows about her success on the show and he’s been tuning in when she’s on," Melissa explained – deeming it unnecessary to add "if he can find the remote." With Alexandra getting advice from a Motown legend, you’d have to Wonder if she’s nailed on to win the X Factor .
