Euro 2008 finals will have 16 teams competing. In the first round, they will compete in four groups of four each, playing each other once. Two teams that emerge with maximum points in each group progress to the quarter finals. Then the knock out system in the quarter finals and semi finals will make an end to all tactical considerations until the final decision is made in the grand final
