There is some tennis betting to enjoy soon as all the big guns from the ATP Tour are showing up at the 2012 Mubadala World Tennis Championships which start on December 27th. This is just an exhibition event so nothing to get too excited about, but it will be important in terms of players getting themselves into gear for the Australian Open which starts in mid January. The Mubadala World Tennis Champion in Abu Dhabi has six stars battling it over three days of quality action. There are no second chances at the event, as it is just a straightforward knockout format and not round robin. Two players will be given a bye through to the semi finals, with the other four competitors scrapping it out to join those lucky two. The final itself and the 3rd and 4th place playoff will be played on December 29th, a taster of what is come to for the 2013 season on the ATP Tour.

Three of the world’s big four will be in Abu Dhabi, Novak Djokovic, who is the defending champion, will join Britain’s number one Andy Murray (the 2009 champion) and Rafael Nadal (champion in 2010 and 2011). Also in attendance will be world number five David Ferrer, world number six Tomas Berdych and world number nine Janko Tipsarevic. Little surprise really in your tennis betting for the favourites in the field. World number one Novak Djokovic is 4/5 favourite with online bookmaker Paddy Power in the early price listings, followed by 2012 US Open champion Andy Murray at a quote of 9/4. Both have won the title twice, with Serbian Djokovic taking the honours at least season’s event thrashing David Ferrer in the final after taking out Roger Federer in the semi’s. Murray didn’t compete last season.

Tough to look past either of the front runner taking the title here in the exhibition event. There is the big presence surrounding the return of Rafael Nadal though. The Spaniard hasn’t played since his Wimbledon exit in 2012 and eyes will be on his match sharpness. There won’t be a lot of pressure on him to perform as he will need time to get back into the game after being away for so long. It will be fascinating to see Nadal go up against Djokovic or Murray though in 2012 Mubadala World Tennis betting though. He is such a fierce competitor that you never know, but this is on hardcourt and Djokovic should have the edge over everyone in this one. The Serbian should be carrying over some tremendous end of season form and is rightly installed as favourite in your tennis betting options.
