The two nations that will likely be the most serious challengers to those two, will be Australia and Scotland. The Australians have Simon Whitlock and Paul Nicholson lining up for them and it was they who went so close last year. Inconsistencies have crept into Anderson’s game and he teams up with Robert Thornton. The top eight seeds will automatically start in round two of the competition.
