ATP BB&T Atlanta Open Tennis Betting Info
It’s another busy week on the ATP with three more events running this week, and out in Atlanta, Georgia there is a good crop of American players all vying for the title. The Tour only moved back to Atlanta a couple of years ago, and on both occasions in 2010 and 2011 we had all American finals. The Atlanta Open is part of the Emirates Airline US Open Series and will give competitors another chance at a some good pre-Olympic Games warm up matches. Other ATP Tournaments this week can be found in Hamburg, Germany and Gstaad, Switzerland. None of the big guns are out this week, leaving evenly matched fields around for your tennis betting.

ATP BB&T Atlanta Open Tennis Betting Defending Champion
Mardy Fish is gunning for a hat trick of titles at the Atlanta Open after winning it in the past two seasons. Fish beat fellow American John Isner on both of those occasions. So this is a tournament which Fish clearly enjoys and with the two main protagonists in the draw going to be kept apart until the final, there is likely to be a strong run from both of them again in 2012. Fish had a run to the fourth round of Wimbledon recently, which followed up on a quarter final run in Miami. There have not been any titles for Mardy Fish this season, and with a quiet season with just a 10-7 win loss record for the season. Still, with Isner being hit and miss, Fish should be a good contender. Mardy Fish is trading as 10/3 second favourite with BetFair this week.

ATP BB&T Atlanta Open Tennis Betting Favourite
John Isner goes as favourite in Atlanta, thanks to his title victory in Newport, Rhode Island last week. Isner took down Ryan Harrison and Lleyton Hewitt on his way to the title, and that was his first title of the season. Isner holds a 28-12 win loss record for the season and after making the final in the past two seasons, he will be pushing hard to get over the finish line this time around. Had a terrible exit in the first round of Wimbledon against Alejandro Falla, but his run in Newport was the first time that he really has impressed since back at the start in April in Houston. Still, he should have enough power to make it to the semi finals at least this week, and should be confident after last week.

Other Contenders
Andy Roddick, who has been the winner of at least one ATP Tour title for the past 12 years of his career, has his second attempt in Atlanta. Roddick won in Eastbourne ahead of Wimbledon, picking up his first title of the season, and he only has a 14-12 win loss record for the season, so it hasn’t been a stellar year for him. Still, you would expect him to go well in a field like this, as he is a top competitor Only made the third round at Wimbledon where he met David Ferrer, and lost in four sets. There have been some disappointing performances along the way for Roddick, but could still shine in Georgia.

Japan’s Kei Nishikori goes as third seed for the tournament in Atlanta, and put in a quarter final appearance at Newport last week. He was brushed aside by Juan Martin Del Potro at Wimbledon, and the Japanese star is still looking for his first title of 2012. Nishikori has put in a few good quarter final appearances throughout the season, and you would expect him to be at this stage for this week’s tennis betting action. He would run into Mardy Fish at the semi final stage if they get that far. Other decent names in the field are South African’s Kevin Anderson and home grown talents Ryan Harrison, Donald Young and Jack Sock.

Best Outside Bet
American Brian Baker has been putting in some impressive performances of late, and holds an 8-3 win loss record for the season. So his season has not been heavily involved on the ATP Tour this season, but with a record run to the final of Nice, France, where he lost to Nicolas Almagro, that followed a title on the Challenger tour in Savannah, Georgia at the end of April. A big outside shot, but look for him to impress and cause problems. Baker is trading at 22/1 with online bookmaker BetFair.
