Wimbledon is right around the corner and that means, the all important build-up of Queen’s is here as grass preparations continue. There is a pretty strong field out here for this year’s edition with five of the top ten in attendance including the reigning champion Andy Murray and recent French Open runner-up Stan Wawrinka. Murray is a five-time winner of this one and it serves as a great warm-up for Wimbledon.

All other former winners since 2009 are all back in this field. The draw hasn’t been particularly kind to Murray in this one because he could potentially have to go through three top 15 players to get his sixth Queen’s Club title in the cabinet. That would include Stan Wawrinka in the final itself. To get there though, Murray have to get past the in-form Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Marin Cilic to get back to the final. It is Murray who is at the head of the ATP Queen’s tennis betting market at Bet365 with an 11/8 quote on his shoulders.

French Open runner-up Stan Wawrinka is a 12/1 punt at Bet365 and his previous best run at the tournament was back in 2014 when he reached the semi finals. He’s probably not as good on the grass and that means he is going to be worth avoiding for betting in this one. Indeed, big-hitting Canadian Milos Raonic is a big threat in the field as he only lost two grass court matches last season (both against Murray) and could be favoured to reach the final ahead of Wawrinka for a bit more value in ATP Queen’s Tennis betting.

2014 Champion Grigor Dimitrov is also down in that bottom half of the draw and there could be a big clash in the quarter finals between Raonic and Dimitrov and that would be one to look forward to. Going back to Murray he is on a 14 match winning streak on grass and now this is the time of the year when he needs to up his game to defend ranking points to keep him at the top of the pile because last year he won seven titles following his success at Queen’s. Murray opens against fellow Brit Aljaz Bedene.
