ATP Rotterdam Tennis Betting Favourite
Well, it will be Roger Federer heading up the field as favourite. He is the defending champion at the tournament after beating Juan Martin del Potro in the final last season. That was his second title in Rotterdam, winning in back in 2005 as well. Federer lost in the semi finals of the Australian Open to Andy Murray and this is his first time back on court. He has a decent 21-5 match record at the event, so it’s not one that he has particularly dominated. Still in a field which contains only three other top ten players, he has to be a firm favourite to make a run at his title defence. The draw has been decent enough for him, and in the top half of the draw he should navigate his way to the semi’s at the very least. Federer is 5/4 favourite at online bookmaker Bet365.

Other Contenders
Argentina’s Juan Martin del Potro had a great tournament here last season, running to the final of the event in his debut, only to be stopped there by Federer. So he will be hoping to go one better and has a decent track record on indoor courts, winning three ATP World Tour titles under covers. This is his first outing since the Australian Open as well, so should be well rested. He suffered a shock defeat in the round of 32 there, just when he was looking primed to have a very good tournament, blowing a two set lead against France’s Jeremy Chardy. Would expect his massive serve to carry him far indoors this week.

Decent French presence in the field this week, headed up by Jo Wilfried Tsonga, the world number eight. He made it to the final here in 2011 where he lost to Robin Soderling. He is in the top half of the draw so would go up against Federer in the semi finals if they both make it there. In decent enough shape by his performance at the Australian Open, where he hit the quarter finals. He lost there to Roger Federer in an epic five setter, odly enough it was he that tired more in the final set than Federer did.

Richard Gasquet has to be worth a look here for your betting, as the world number 10 is in some great form. He has already two titles this season, winning in Doha and in Montpellier last week. So is in decent enough shape and his only loss this season came against Jo Wilfried Tsonga in the round of sixteen at the Australian Open in four sets. He is floating around the bottom half of the table and should be a solid quarter finalist with the way he is going at the moment. Made it to the Rotterdam quarterfinals last season.

Best Outside Bet
Would look for someone from the bottom half of the table here and Frenchman Benoit Paire may fit alright. He ran to the final of Montpellier last week with some great performances. He had previous hit the semi finals in Chennai as well. Didn’t get anywhere in the Australian Open as he was brushed aside by Roger Federer in the first round. Long shot at 66/1, but just a bit of form is with him, so look for him to get a couple of wins under his belt.
