Betfred has teamed up with Bolton Wanderers to expand their presence in UK football. The independent bookmaker Betfred has signed a shirt deal with the club, which will see their logo adorn the front of the team’s shirts for the next two Championship seasons.

On top of the shirt deal, bookmaker Betfred also gets to enjoy the additional perks of branding opportunities at the club’s Macron Stadium.

This isn’t the first dealings between the two clubs as Betfred has served as Bolton’s official betting partner before. Betfred founder Fred Done said his firm had “enjoyed a great relationship” with the squad and thus the team was front and center in One’s mind when he decided “to get more involved in football.”

No details of the actual deal have been made public, but Betfred take over from the previous shirt sponsors Spin and Win, and it is allegedly worth “significantly more” than that previous deal.

Along with that, Betfred has introduced a new TradeFred online forex trading platform, which was announced as BWFC’s new Official Financial Trading Partner this week. TradeFred is a partnership between Betfred and the Vanuatu-registered MagicPath Capital Ltd, which announced TradeFred’s official debut this week.

Betfred’s role in the business is actually as the provider of the technology while MagicPath are the listed owners. Fred Done said he would “never miss a trading opportunity” and promised that TradeFred customers would “enjoy a trading platform that always executes.” They are not running with a licence for trading in the UK, only in Vanuatu at the moment.

There are plans to seek European licenses and seek the approval of the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to open up TradeFred’s services to UK traders.
