Bournemouth v Chelsea Betting Preview – Premier League 8th April 5.30pm

The Cherries have produced some positive returns on home soil recently in the top flight and have started to produce a little more consistently overall. They have lost their last two home games though against the Blues and Chelsea have won their last two road games in the top flight by a one-goal margin. There could be plenty of goals in this clash on the south coast. Can Chelsea survive again at the Vitality?

Bournemouth v Chelsea Betting Tips

Bournemouth have been going pretty well since the start of March and they have won back to back home games in the league heading into this one, having beaten West Ham and Swansea. This is a tougher game for them though, clearly. But the Cherries have done more than enough lately to move seven points clear of the drop zone and a late goal from Josh King on Wednesday saw them take a 2-2 draw at Anfield against Liverpool. So they are starting to run with confidence again and it is worth having a flutter on both teams to score at Coral or a price of 4/6. Bournemouth don’t particularly have great head to head form against Chelsea because they have lost six of their eight previous games against the Blues in all competitions (W2) with just the one home win in that sequence. Josh King is the shortest priced option for the Cherries in the Coral anytime goalscorer market at 3/1. Bournemouth have produced a W7 D3 L5 record on home soil this season in the top flight but they have collected just the one clean sheet in their last seven home games.

In the Coral correct score market, a Chelsea 2-1 result is up at a price of 8/1 and the league leaders haven’t taken a clean sheet in any of their last eight league games now. Their last five league games have all gone over the 2.5 goal line and over 2.5 goals at Coral in this one is a price of 3/4. That’s worth backing. Chelsea have gone W10 D2 L2 away from home and will be confident again after responding to their shock home loss against Crystal Palace last weekend by beating Man City in midweek. There have been a few wobbles lately from the Blues away from home with a W3 D2 L1 record in their last six away on the road. Chelsea are undefeated in their last five away games in the top flight now. Diego Costa goes as 4/6 anytime goalscorer favourite, with Eden Hazard at 6/4. Pedro netted a couple against the Cherries earlier in the season and is a price of 15/8 to net. Chelsea have won their last two games against the Cherries, scoring seven goals in the process, including a 3-0 home win over them earlier this season.

Bournemouth v Chelsea Predictions

Chelsea Away Win: Chelsea have won their last two away games in the top flight by a 2-1 scoreline and that’s probably worth backing in the correct score market for this one. The Cherries have done much better defensively lately, but the Blues will want to turn the screw in the title race and can edge it.
