Salvador Sobral brought a nation to tears with his rendition of the romantic ballad which translates as “Love Enough For Two”. The song was penned by his sister Luisa and walked away with the final of the Festival Da Cancao, Portugal’s national competition to choose their Eurovision entry. Salvador will now perform in the first semi-final of Eurovision 2017 in Kiev in the second week in May.
Sobral released his debut album last year, “Excuse Me”, and is hoping that the Eurovision Song Contest can give his career another boost. Victory in Kiev would also be a feather in the cap of his composer sister and punters have latched on to the fact that Portugal thinks it has hit on a winning formula this year.
