It is David Beckham’s swansong in America on Saturday night, as his LA Galaxy side take on the Houston Dynamo’s in the final of the MLS Cup. Will he be bowing out in style. The former England should be back playing in Europe somewhere next, with the likelihood of it being in France by the looks of things. But can he guide the Galaxy to their second consecutive MLS Cup title and finish his time in the USA in style? Maybe it is destined for Becks, as the Los Angeles club only finished fourth in the Western Conference but battled their way through the playoffs, taking out top seeds San Jose and then the Seattle Sounders.

The Galaxy’s one match against the Eastern Conference’s Houston (who finished fifth there) this season ended in defeat by a 2-1 scoreline, so they have some payback to exact. But the Texas outfit will be thinking that, because they lost last season’s final against the Galaxy and so they will want to upset Beckham’s farewell in the rematch. Both sides have had somewhat patch season and they could produce a pretty even contest. Last year’s final ended in a 1-0 win for LA, thanks to a goal from Landon Donovan. Robbie Keane is the club’s leading scorer this season, having netted 21 times, with Donovan behind him with a tally of ten. Becks has found the back of the net seven times this season.

The LA Galaxy are edging things with the bookies and Beckham is at a quote of 4/1 with online bookmaker Skybet to be an anytime goalscorer in the match. The Englishman is 10/1 to be the first to score for his team, while is a long shot at 17/2 to be the First Goalscorer in the match. This is Beckham bowing out of the MLS, will he produce one of his trademark performers to leave in a celebratory mood?
