Man City 2/5 favourites to sign Tottenham’s Kyle Walker

Chelsea and Bayern Munich in the hunt too

Premier League Betting

England full-back Kyle Walker had a pretty fine season with Tottenham, but towards the end of the term he was finding himself on the bench and that, of course, sparked rumours that he could be leaving in the summer. He has continuously been linked with a £40m Tottenham departure.

Manchester City are 2/5 favourites at Ladbrokes to capture him over the summer and with his pace and attacking dynamic, he would look a pretty solid fit for Pep Guardiola’s team. He’s hard working, he is very quick and he likes to play up in the final third of the pitch whenever he can and he would slot right into the City side without any issues probably.

But Chelsea and Bayern Munich are reportedly on the hunt as well for the England youngster. Chelsea have moved into a position of 3/1 second-favourites to land Walker over the summer and that, of course, wouldn’t exactly be a crowd pleaser with the Tottenham faithful. Bayern Munich are right there in the market at a quote of 7/2.

Chelsea, of course, have the extra burden of UEFA Champions League football next season and will need to strengthen their squad and that would be a quality signing for them. With Chelsea’s three across the back, Walker would be a good fit there as he would naturally have the freedom to get forward when he could.

Walker found himself on the bench for four of Tottenham’s last ten league games, after rumours that he had clashed with boss Mauricio Pochettino on the training ground earlier in the year. Bayern Munich are on the prowl reportedly too as they look to replace Philip Lahm, who announced his retirement after 14 seasons with the club.
