Neil Warnock favourite in Next Leeds Manager Betting Odds

Former QPR boss favourite to succeed Simon Grayson

Football Betting

Leeds United are actively now looking for a new permanent manager after giving Simon Grayson the boot. Leeds lost at home 4-1 to Birmingham City on January 31st, prompting the board to lose patience and kick Grayson to the curb. Leeds, currently sitting tenth in the Championship hit a bit of a sticky patch in December, losing three games on the bounce. But they recovered from that, stringing two wins and a draw together, and this may have been a bit of panic button hitting. There are still eighteen league matches left to go, and Leeds are only four points out of a play off place, so it is not exactly all doom and gloom, and losing against an in form Birmingham City is no shame anyway. Leeds have had enough with Grayson because they have failed to mount a serious challenge on one of the two automatic promotion spots back to the Barclays Premier League. So, Grayson, who had been at Elland Road for three seasons has parted way and now we have to look at Next Leeds manager betting. There is a favourite candidate in the works, and that is Neil Warnock, who was recently kicked out of QPR after their struggles in the Premier League. Warnock makes a good fit because he has vast experience in England’s second tier and could just be the man to stoke the fires under the players at the club and get a promotion challenge going again. It is really not going to take too much, all that is needed really is for Leeds to tighten up at the back and they should alright really. Warnock has a great reputation of getting Championship sides promoted, so the big question is really, whether Warnock’s sacking prompted Leeds chairman Ken Bates to get rid of Grayson to get Warnock in?

Either way, Warnock is the favourite in Next Permanent Leeds manager betting. Truthfully there is not a great amount of choice in the running really, nor have any other names really come to the fore, which could suggest that Bates has acted to get Warnock. But will there be a surprise in Next Leeds Manager betting? Well, Gordon Strachan’s name is trading as second favourite in the market behind Neil Warnock. Strachan of course has over a decade of managerial experience, most famously at Celtic between 2005 and 2009. Strachan hasn’t been in the hot seat since leaving Middlesbrough in 2010 though, so that will lead us on to another contender, Steve Bruce. Bruce is highly respected as well, getting Birmingham City up into the Premier League a couple of times. Bruce was sacked from Premier League side Sunderland not too long ago, as the Black Cats started to struggle to pick up wins. With Martin O’Neill going into the Stadium of Light and doing wonders with the squad, that isn’t exactly painting Bruce in a great light, so that puts all the eggs back into the Neil Warnock basket for next Leeds manager betting. Leeds are desperate to get back into the Premier League, as they haven’t been in the top flight since back in 2004. So who will be next permanent Leeds manager? Is it already a foregone conclusion?
