Nelson Mandela Championship Golf Betting Info
Despite this being the end of 2012, this inaugural tournament in South Africa is the first tournament in the 2013 Race To Dubai. Yes, it all starts again here, but after the recent closure of the 2012 edition, won by Rory McIlroy, the big stars of the European are mostly resting up for this one. However, there is a competitive looking field at the Royal Durban Golf Club for your golf betting this week.

It has be Branden Grace, although he is being pushed hard by fellow South African George Coetzee. Grace has had an astonishing 2012 in what was his rookie season on the European PGA Tour. Straight of Qualifying School, he landed four titles during 2012 on the European Tour, five in total worldwide. In just one season he has risen from 307th in the world to 36th. He put in another great show, taking a sixth place at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai a couple of weeks ago. After such a stunning season, his performance this season should inspire others from the Q-School. A man who really hasn’t had a drop in form and won at the start of the year in South Africa, taking the Joburg Open. Branden Grace is trading at a price of 15/2 with online bookmaker Bet Victor.

Other Contenders
South AFrican George Coetzee is looking a likely candidate to mount a challenge. He has had a superbly consistent season on the European Tour, even if he has been overshadowed, like most players, by Branden Grace. Coetzee has four previous wins on the Sunshine Tour in South Africa, however, he has yet to break through and nail a European Tour title. He placed well at the South African Open where he took a top eight finish. Coetzee landed eight top eight finishes this season on the European Tour which took him to 21st on the Race To Dubai. Should go well here in a field like this.

Thomas Aiken, another South African, may be another to watch out for on home soil. He landed a T3 at the SA Open. Was doing well at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai recently as well until he shot a disappointing 76 in the final round. Has had some good finishes this season, not as consistent or as dynamic perhaps at Coetzee, but good enough to place in the top ten.

Jaco Van Zyl, South African again, yes, is another in the same boat as Aiken really. Good enough to produce something decent like his recent T10 at the Barclays Singapore Open. Doesn’t have the finishing power or consistency as Aiken, just looking as if he trending at the moment and home soil is something which should play to his game for an advantage. A longer shot to take the title but a good shout for a top ten finish nonetheless.

Best Outside Bet
Spain’s Pablo Larrazabal has had a couple of good results behind him recently. He took a T8 at the UBS Hong Kong Open and then followed that up with a T36 at the DP World Tour Championship a couple of weeks ago. Patchy at best, but he is capable of producing a spattering of top ten finishes and has had three in the last eight. An outside shot but a decent price nonetheless at 20/1 with online bookmaker Bet Victor.
