Paddy Power’s Hotshot Jackpot went again on the weekend. Just the weekend before history was made as the first ever jackpot had been claimed, but just seven days later, Paddy Power had to pay out yet again as two punters won cheques for £125,000 from the bookmaker in their prediction came.

It may have been one of the goals that were flying under the radar last weekend, but when Stoke’s Marco Arnautovic netted a stoppage time consolation goal for the Potters in their 4-1 defeat at Crystal Palace, it probably wouldn’t have raised much of an eyebrow. But for two punters involved in the Paddy power Hotshot Jackpot, it was a goal worth celebrating in style.

Arnautovic’s goal helped two players to take a share of the mammoth £250,000 prize that was on offer. Paddy Power’s Hotshot Jackpot is a FREE prediction game where you select eight Premier League goalscorers over a weekend of action and the winner both had Arnautovic in their selections. One of the winner though that his goal had won him just £25.

Malcolm, 62, is retired and from Kildare. He said: “I didn’t think I’d won because of Christian Eriksen not playing. Even when I went online, I still thought I’d finished second or something.

“So when I got the call from Paddy Power, I assumed it was to tell me I’d won £25, which I was quite happy with – so you can imagine my shock when I was told it was actually for £125,000.

“What am I going to do with the money? Count it! It’ll take me long enough.

“I don’t know, really, yet but I’m certainly planning one or two surprises for my friends and family.”

The other Jackpot winner was Paul, 57 from Preston who said: He said: “I’ve been playing Hotshot Jackpot every week of the season with my son, but it was only really on Sunday night that I remembered about my entry.

“I knew I had a couple of the scorers right, so thought I’d log in to check them – and couldn’t believe when I realised that I’d won.

“I’m a few years off retirement, so it’ll be nice to have some money behind us.

Spokesman Paddy Power added: “These two chaps are lucky that Arnautovic didn’t pack up and go home during Stoke’s latest pasting.

“Congratulations to both – and here’s to our next hotshot jackpot winners.”
