There was a shake up early this week in the Next Doctor Who betting market with a flurry of bets coming in at Ladbrokes on Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The Fleabag and Broadchurch star was running along as an 8/1 outsider in the market, but now with the big spike of interest in her, she has usurped long time favorite Kris Marshall at the head of the market.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge is on the BAFTA Breakthrough Talent shortlist which has in turn led to speculation that she could be taking over from the out-going Time Lord Peter Capaldi. This has been a busy old market for some time, with ups and downs with Tilda Swinton having headed up the market at one point.
But she has drifted out to 10/1 in the Ladbrokes Next Doctor Who Betting market and Waller-Bridge’s Broadchurch co-star Olivia Colman has gone out to 12/1 despite being as short at 4/1 to be the next Time Lord just back in February.
