Premier League Betting Strategy – Streaks and Sequences – March 3rd and 4th

A statistical look at the teams in and out of form

Sports Betting

We are going to assess some of the strongest Premier League Streaks and Sequences ahead of this weekend’s betting fixtures. This is always a good place to look, because it really paints a picture of the current form and status of teams. Form pretty much counts for everything (not totally everything, because we always like to use a bit of fixture history to back up our betting) but looking for football streaks and sequences can help you pull out that big winning bet. Here we analyse who in the Premier League is doing the best and doing the worst in terms of runs of form ahead of your weekend’s football betting. This should help you with some pointers as you scan your football coupons.

Premier League Fixtures Analysed
Liverpool v Arsenal, Blackburn v Aston Villa, Manchester City v Bolton, QPR v Everton, Stoke v Norwich, West Brom v Chelsea, Wigan v Swansea, Newcastle v Sunderland, Fulham v Wolves, Tottenham v Manchester United

Longest Run of Consecutive Matches Without Defeat?
Manchester United have stretched their unbeaten run in the Premier League to six matches now. They are the league’s best, hotly pursued by Everton though, who are on a good run of five matches without defeat. United head to White Hart Lane in a tough looking match against Spurs, but United’s away record is fantastic. As for Everton, they are in good form and head to Loftus Road to take on the struggling QPR, so there is a good chance that both streaks will continue on the weekend, so they could be worth backing.

Longest Run of Consecutive Matches Without a Win?
There are three teams in the Premier League who are struggling to find a win at the moment. Aston Villa, Bolton and QPR are all on a streak of four matches without a win in the Premier League. So those are the strugglers who need to try and turn around some form this weekend for sure. Bolton have a tough away match at Man City though, while Villa are also on the road at Blackburn. QPR do get home advantage this weekend as they host Everton, but the Toffees are on a good unbeaten run.

Longest Run of Consecutive Matches Won?
Not too much surprise that we are looking at some of the best teams in the league for this sequence. It is Arsenal and Manchester City who are the most in form teams in the Premier League at the moment, as they are both on a three match winning streak. Man City look a strong option to extend their winning sequence to four as they host struggling Bolton, while Arsenal have a much tougher task in front of them as they head to Anfield to take on Carling Cup winners Liverpool.

Longest Run of Consecutive Matches Lost?
Who is on the worst skid in the Premier League at the moment? Well that will be Bolton and QPR, who are both on a three match losing streak, so they are finding wins hard to come by at the moment, as they both continue to be threatened with relegation. Other teams out of form with two consecutive losses are Swansea and Sunderland, and the Black Cats face a tough derby match against Newcastle on Sunday, while the Swans have a chance at points against Wigan.

Most Unlikely To Draw?
Manchester City and Sunderland are the Premier League teams who are most unlikely to produce a draw in their fixtures. That is because both of the sides are on a streak of not drawing a match in their last eight games. That is a long sequence, and with City at home against Bolton, a draw doesn’t seem likely there.

Longest Home Sequence Without Defeat
Out of the home teams for this round of fixtures, it is Manchester City who are the league’s best performers at home. Man City continue to be very strong at the Etihad Stadium, as they are on a run of thirteen matches without a loss at home in the Premier League. Just to add a little extra to that stat, all thirteen of those games have been wins for the Citizens. Liverpool, who host Arsenal, and Spurs, who host Manchester United have the next best home records of this week’s home sides, as they are both on a twelve match streak without defeat at home.

Longest Away Sequence Without Defeat?
Out of the away teams for this round of fixtures, it is Wolves who are still proving difficult to beat on the road. They are now on a five match streak without a loss away from home, and they travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham this weekend. Man Utd are the next best away team of this round of fixtures, as they are on a three match unbeaten stretch away from Old Trafford.

Most Likely To Keep A Clean Sheet?
Manchester United and Manchester City have kept the League best twelve clean sheets this season.

Most Likely To Not Score?
Swansea and Bolton have failed to find the back of the net in eleven of their Premier League matches this season now.
