The race for a top four spot is still very much alive in Premier League darts betting, as the action moves on to the NIA, Birmingham this week. There are just two weeks left of the regular season after this one. Dutch duo of Michael Van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld both continued to solidify their spots in the top four after taking convincing wins over Dave Chisnall and Adrian Lewis respectively, last week.

Both can have a big say in what is likely to be the race for fourth this week, as Raymond van Barneveld v Phil Taylor is the big match on the cards, while Van Gerwen takes on Gary Anderson, who starts the week level on points with fourth-placed Taylor. Van Gerwen is trading as 11/17 favourite to beat Anderson (10/3), while Taylor is favourite to take the win over Van Barneveld (the two drawing 6-6 when they met earlier in the season).

It is double duty for Taylor this week, as he faces Dave Chisnall in the last match of the evening. Taylor beat Chisnall earlier in the season and is odds on to repeat that success. Chisnall has an outside shot still of making the top four, but would really need to rattle out wins in both of his games in Birmingham, facing up to Robert Thornton (who can’t make the top four) in his other match. As Chisnall has more to play for, he is favourite to top that duel.

The night’s other match in Premier League Darts betting this week sees Adrian Lewis take on Peter Wright. Wright recovered from a three match losing streak to beat Robert Thornton last week, and with Lewis on a seven match winless streak in the Premier League and unlikely to trouble the top four, Wright is narrow favourite in the match.
