Arsenal v Newcastle (kick off 8pm)
Arsenal continue to endure a lengthy injury list. Yossi Benayoun is a doubt with a virus, Abou Diaby and Francis Coquelin have hamstring problems, Per Mertesacker has a sore ankle, as does Jack Wilshere. Andre Santos could return to the fray following his broken ankle, while Mikel Arteta should be reinstated in the Gunners’ starting XI after being rested. Aaron Ramsey should also feature after recovering from his injured ankle.
Newcastle fear striker Peter Lovenkrands could be out for the season with a ruptured thigh muscle. Shola Ameobi returns after a flu struck him but long-term casualties Leon Best, Sammy Ameobi, Steven Taylor and Sylvain Marveaux all miss out.
